Two weeks

That's how long it's been since I've stepped outside my house. I wasn't even aloud to be in the backyard. Seriously! I think if I don't leave the house soon I'm going to suffocate. I don't even know what they're doing.

Each day either Elena or Caroline would call to check on me. Which was sweet at first then it started to become annoying.

For now I was spending some time with Danny, playing with his toy cars around his room, Which I wouldn't be complaining about if I hadn't been doing it for weeks now.

"Peepp!" screamed Danny as he crashed his car into a lego building. Then he dropped his car and looked at me.

"Savvy can we go to the park? And eat ice cream? Please? I know you're not sick I saw you yesterday." He said giving me a knowing look. So I've been faking a cold so that I wouldn't have to go out and so my parents would leave me alone and stop bothering me. I hate lying to them but what can I do? Jackson has been helping a lot lately but I don't want him involved with any of this. So I try to keep him in the dark... He's not too happy about it.

"Danny I-" On second thought "Can go. We can go. Grab your shoes and meet me by the door in ten." I smiled. I don't care I have to get out of the house.

But I wasn't that reckless.....

"Hey Silver! Is everything okay?" Elena asked as soon as she picked up the phone. Yeah they started calling me silver. I'm not even used to being called harper so I'm glad their calling me silver now. She was probably surprised I called her first.

"Every things fine Elena I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to the park. With Danny I don't care who's after me and how strong vampires are and blah blah blah if I'm going to die soon then I better be happy and-" My rant was cut short because she interrupted me and I was glad because I had no idea what else to say.

"Okay okay! Just shut up already you can go!" She said while laughing a bit. I felt like a kid again, begging my parents to let me go to the mall with my friends on a school night.

"Thanks! Ill-"

"Don't get your hopes up too quick Damon's going with you."

"What!" I shrieked. "Why does demon have to come with me?" Why do they keep torturing me! Why can't it be Bonnie or Caroline? And yes I said demon.

"Because Damon has nothing better to do." She said emphasizing Damon's name.

"I have many other things, better things, to do then go to the park with a bunch of kids." I heard Damon's muffled voice in the background.

"Of course you do. Well I'm leaving now. Meet me there I guess." I said rolling my eyes a little and then hanging up.

"Why meet you there when I can be right here?" I screamed so loud I'm pretty sure the people in Australia could hear me like I was sitting right next to them.

"What the hell is your problem?!" I yelled at Damon who just had his hands over his ears.

"WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU SPEAK UP A BIT!" He shouted back making all kinds of hand gestures acting def.

I was about to snap at him when I heard little foo steps running down the stairs.

"Savvy! What's wrong?" said Danny with his cute little voice.

"Nothing Daniel. This is Damon, Damon this is Daniel call him Danny though." I said all while glaring at Damon who only smirked back.

"Hi Damon!" said Danny rather enthusiastically. "Are you going to the park with me and Savvy?"

"Sadly I am." Damon pouted. I walked over to him and elbowed him in the ribs. "But I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun!" He said sarcastically. I'll take what I can get.

I walked out of the house, holding Danny's hand while Damon trailed behind.

"We're taking my car" says Damon.

"Uh no... You are coming with us not the other way around. We are taking my car." I don't wait to hear what he says and unlock my blue Jeep and place Danny in the back seat and get in the driver's seat. I look next to me to find Damon seated on the passenger seat, looking ahead, not meeting my eyes. I couldn't help but smirk and started the car, driving towards the park.

Currently, Damon and I were sitting on the grass watching Danny play with his toy cars around the trees. We each had a cone of ice cream in our hands. This actually wasn't so bad.

I was enjoying every moment I had of freedom because I know it's not going to last for much longer.

"Damon how old are you?" I asked out of curiosity.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you" he said looking up at the tree we were sitting under like it was the most fascinating thing in the world.

"Try me" I said smiling a little. He glanced at me then back at the tree.

"I'll tell you under one condition" He smirked.

"And what could that condition be?" I asked dumbly not thinking about it at all. Gosh I'm so stupid.

"Kiss me, Silver" he said seriously all humor gone from his face, staring into my eyes and sliding closer until I felt his breath fanning over my face.
