Again, my apologies for the late update. My exams ar starting soon so the next update will be somewhere end this month. An
Elijah pushed me out of the way, preparing to change forms just as his father came at him. I screamed when I saw his father bite down on his shoulder, when he still was in his human form.
Elijah growled and threw his father off of him, while shifting. As fast as he could he leaped at the old Alpha, before he was able to attack again.
Growls filled the room as I crawled backwards until my back hit the wall. Tears filled my eyes as I watched Elijah and his father fight. Elijah was going to get hurt. Because of me.
More tears appeared as I realized there was nothing I could do. I wasn't strong enough to fight old Alpha. I wasn't even able to shift.
I screamed again as I saw Derek bite in his son's neck. His light brown fur immediately started turning red. My mate let out an angry growl as he tried to get himself from his fathers grip. Squeezing my eyes shut as I felt Elijah's pain, I tried my best to think of something to help Elijah.
Shifting into my wolf was out of the question. And there was no way I could win against an Alpha.
So I did the only thing I could think of. I grabbed the nearest thing I could find, with was a lamp and threw it just above the two wolves their heads.
Derek's attention shifted from his to me. When he saw me standing there, his eyes narrowed and he threw Elijah against the nearest wall. Then he growled at me.
Not knowing what to do next, I did the only thing that came to mind. I ran.
I ran out of the room as fast as I could. But of course, I wasn't able to out run a wolf, an Alpha at that. So when I felt something large clash into my back, I was prepared. Doing my best to remember something I had read in a book five years ago, I put my hands out in fronts of me. As soon as I hit the ground, I rolled forwards, just enough to get away from the wolf.
Then, like a character from an action movie, I rolled onto my front and tried my best to get up. Luckily, I could. Without falling I ran to the next room, but when another growl echoed through the hallway, I froze.
I was going to turn around when another wolf appeared in front of me. I gasped as I looked at the big black wolf, but when familiar bright green eyes connected with mine, I breathed out in relief.
Lorcan.
Turning around, I pressed myself up against the nearest wall, so I was able to see both the dark brown wolf and the black wolf.
Lorcan was growling at Derek, trying to intimidate him. And it was working, even I felt the need to cower away from Lorcan. For being only fifteen years old, he certainly had a lot of power.
When another, this time even bigger black wolf appeared next to Lorcan, who I knew was Thorn, took Derek a step back. Lorcan looked at me with questioning eyes, asking if I was okay. I nodded my head at him, telling him I was fine. That I would survive.
Now both Logan and Thorn were growling at Derek. My eyes flickered to the room behind him, where Elijah still was. I had to get to him. I had to make sure he was alright.
Feeling another pair of eyes on me, I looked back at Lorcan, who was staring at me, as if he knew what I was thinking. Not wanting to draw a lot of attention I moved my head toward Elijah's room. When Lorcan nodded, I knew he had a plan.
Not even a second later both black wolves lunged at the old Alpha. I started running. As fast I as I could I ran past the fighting wolves and into Elijah's room.
