Starfire's POV

Cloudjumper and I were laying down in a patch of soft leaves and sticks. I was a little uneasy from all the stares from other dragons, mostly the unmated males, but some females spared a glance in my direction. I raised my head a little looking over at Cloudjumper.

"Cloudjumper." I said nudging him with my head. He stirred a little and opened his eyes.

"Yes Starfire?" He not fully awake. I moved my eyes in a motion for him to look over to the right where most of the staring dragons where. He looked over with a straight face. It almost looked like he was daring the other dragons to come closer. The dragons watching us were either averting their eyes pretending like they weren't staring, flew away, or were 'daring' enough to take a few steps closer. For the ones that did step closer earned a threatening growl from Cloudjumper. Eventually all the dragons left. Cloudjumper looked back at me as I laid my head back on the ground.

"May I ask you a question?" He asked I lifted my head back up and nodded. "When Valka named you, you flinched as if the name bit you. Why?" I knew that would come up, I mentally clapped myself for being so obvious.

"It's... just something that happened in my past. I..." I looked at the ground. Cloudjumper said nothing but was listening very closely. "At my homeland, I was alone. At least that's how I felt. That is until I met Nightwing....he made me feel like I was loved, I was loved. He was everything to me. Until my father drove him off and locked me away. He promised to come for me. At least that's what I hoped. But I spent five years locked in a cave by my own blood. I loved him, I was positive that we would become mates in the future." A few traitorous tears fell. "The name Star... he gave that to me. He was the only one to give me that name. And in return I called him Toothless... his retractable teeth made me come with the name. He said that I was the only one who could call him that. I escaped, hopping to find him. His eyes were the thing that I remember the most. The vibrant green resembled that of the purest grass. The healthiest tree leaves. The proudest flower stems." Just thinking of his eyes made me think of the nightfury I saw before. His eyes, were the exact same.  Even if it was him, you would think he would remember me.

"I assume you have yet to find this Nightwing?" Cloudjumper said breaking my gloomy state.

"I haven't, but I wont stop looking. There was a Night Fury that I did see... but for some reason I have my doubts on who he is. He looks a lot like Nightwing, just older. But he didn't seem to remember me when he say me."

"I see, well I wish you the best of luck. But if you plan on leaving, can I ask one request." I nodded.

"Will you stay for a little longer? My rider would like to look at you for a little bit. I know it might be strange, but she has never really seen one of your kind before, and she is rather excited. I know she say you earlier, all you have to do is do what you normally do and she should keep her distance until you get more comfortable, but she is a very likable human so I doubt it would take very long for you to get accustomed to her company." I thought for a minuet.

"Sure, besides, I could use the rest." I said smiling. Cloudjumper smiled back and laid his head back on the ground. I did the same sleep finding its way to me faster than I thought. I actually dreamed this time. This time about Nightwing, and for the first time I slept peacefully.

Hiccup's POV

Astrid and I found Eret's. They noticed our presence and started to shoot nets at us. We maneuvered and dived around them diving to the ships deck.

"And here I was worried we might turn up empty-handed." Eret pointed his dagger at us.

"Nope, it's your lucky day. We give up!" I said raising my hands in the air. I could feel Astrid's shocked and confused eyes on the back of my head. Eret's dagger dropped a bit in surprise. "That's one Night Fury, one Deadly Naddar, and two of the finest dragon riders west of Luk Tuk. That oughtta make the boss happy, right?" I said throwing a net on Astrid and dismounting Toothless. I grabbed Astrid's axe and handed it to Eret as I guided her to the cage thing in the middle of the ship for holding dragons.

"What are you doing?" Astrid asks glaring at me. I smiled quickly at her and got into the cage with her.

Toothless tried to follow me, but I held him back. "Toothless, stay."

"The dragons don't really care for cramped spaces, so they'll just hang out with you. They won't be any trouble." I said lowering the cage top. Eret's men grabbed out their weapons making Toothless jump. He jumped surprised and snarled at them.

"Unless you do that. You know, wooden boat, big ocean. How is your swimming?" I asked trying to make a point.

"Not good." One of his men said sadly. Eret rolled his eyes at his response.

My dragon blade's fire shot out of the gate.

"Woops, almost forgot. You can't have armed prisoners." I said holding out my weapon for them to grab.

"Just what every dragon trapper needs. One end coats the blade in Monstrous Nightmare saliva. The other sprays Hideous Zippleback gas. All it takes is a spark and..." The man who grabbed the blade examined it and let out some of the green gas only to ignight it.

"There ya go. Once the dragons see you as one of their own even the testiest dragons can be trained, right bud." I watched as Toothless pawed at a single ash that was still bright with fire.

"Give me that!" Eret said grabbing the blade and chucking it into the ocean. Stormfly ran off to receive it.

"What game are you playing?" Eret asking anger and annoyance clear in his voice.

"No game, we just want to meet Drago." I said making Eret have another confused look.

"Why?" Eret said before Stromfly came and dropped the dragon blade back at his feet.  He throws it off board quickly only to have Stormfly retrieve it once again.

"Because I am going to change his mind about dragons." I said confidently. The crew laugh.

"He can be really persuasive." Astrid said popping up out of nowhere.

"Once you've earned his loyalty, there is nothing a dragon wont do for you." I said now standing next to Toothless.

"May I?" I said preparing Toothless's tail Eret glaring me with a suspicious look.
