"Sooo.... What do you wanna talk about now?", asked Lilly, flipping her wet, golden bangs out of her face.

"Hmm... I don't know. I can't believe your not coming back for high school!", Hope said sitting further down in her blow up pool, water coming up to her chin.

"I know. I'm sorry but I need to go to a good high school. If I could change my mom's mind I would!", answered Lilly. "It would be so cool if we could go to the same college and be roommates!"

"Oh my gosh! Yes! That would be amazing! We could go to parties, dances, meet boys. ;)", Hope excitedly screeched.

"I would love that!

"We. Could. Go. CLUBBING!!!!", Hope whispered happily.

"The only problem with that is our parents. They would never let us go out. Especially our moms.", Lilly explained.

"Not if we don't tell them"

"Oooh. I like your thinking. I guess you aren't such a blonde", Lilly said to Hope with a wink.

As both the girls reapplied lemon juice to their hair to highlight it, they started to talk about what they would wear.

"No. You don't need to wear so much eye makeup because your eyes are so pretty.", Hope said to Lilly.

"Fine. I will only wear some eyeliner and a little smokey eye with a hint of purple or green. You?"

"I think I'm going to go for a more natural look. A little bit of eyeliner, mascara, and a light pink eyeshadow. What kind of clothes are you going to wear?"

"Hmmm. I think I'm going to wear a mini dress that is black with sequins and some little green embellishments and possibly a leather jacket. You?"

"I am also going to wear a mini dress. It's going to be very sparkly and when it hits the light at a certain angle, you ready for this, RAINBOW light goes everywhere on me!"

While Hope and Lilly continued to spit their ideas out at each other, Hope's neighbor, Trent, had a friend over.

"Hey Zac, can you pass me the game controller?", Trent asked with a mouth full of popcorn.

"Here you go dude.", said Zac

"Sooo. I was wondering if you would want to come over this Friday and we could go hang out somewhere."

"Oh. Sure. I don't see why not. Hey, look at those two chicks over there."

"Oh yeah. That's my neighbor Hope and her friend Lilly. They are practically sisters. They are always hanging out together. They're pretty cool."

"Do you wanna ask if we can go over there? That Lilly chick seems pretty nice. ;)"

"Umm. I don't know man. I don't think Hope even knows my name. Crap! The zombie took my gun!"

"Haha. Sucks for you. Do you have her number?"

Meanwhile, back at Hope's house...

"Oh my gosh! Did you see that!", Hope screamed a little too loudly.

"What is it?Are those guys checking us out? They are so hot. Especially the blondie!", replied Lilly pulling her hair into a messy bun.

"I'm pretty sure! Ugh. Trent is so beautiful! Too bad he probably has a girlfriend. I would be so jealous of the girl he likes."

"Yeah. Who is his friend? Is he single? Is he smart? Is he..."

"Lilly chill out! His name is Zac. He IS single. And he is smart. He's like a male version of you!"

"Oooooohhh. Yes! Okay. What school do they go to?"

"Haha. Okay. They both are attending our school for eighth grade. So. We both have a chance."

"My prayers have been answered! I told you there would be a new guy that I would fall in love with!"

"I stand corrected. Okay. So, should we go and talk to them? Like you know like, like, ugh. You talk!"

"Ummm. Do you have Trent's phone number? We could text him and just say we want to come over and introduce ourselves for he school year. We could get to know them ;)"

"Hmmm. That's not a bad idea. That could actually work. I think I have his home phone number."

Ring Ring... Ring Ring

"Hello?"

"Here you take it! No you! Um, hello. This is Hope, your neighbor."

"Dude! Zac! I'm talking to Hope!", said Trent.

"Oh. Um. Hey Hope. What's up?"

"Well, I was wondering if you Lilly and I could come over for a few minutes. We head that you and Zac would be going to the same school as us next year and we just want to come over and say hi?"

"I'd love that... I mean... Yeah. Come on over. Um. Bye!"

"Crap! Ugh. Okay. So the girls are

coming over. Help me clean everything up!", demanded Trent.

"Okay. What should I wear? I don't wanna look too fancy or too chill.", interrogated Hope.
