My brothers best friend

First time in forever

I woke up for the first day of school. I was actually pretty excited for today. It was my chance to make more friends and try and make the best impression I could.

I got up quickly and rummaged through my wardrobe. I picked shorts and a long sleeved tightly fitted crop top. Not what I arrived in. I also wore white converses.

I curled my hair and put on light make up as I headed out and grabbed my new purse. I put my lunch money and pencil case in it as I grabbed my new car keys from the key rack. I kissed mom goodbye and got in my new red convertible.

I plugged my new iPhone 6 plus into the speakers and played some music. I was listening sigala say you do.

I pulled up at school with Larissa in my passenger seat. We got out and I grabbed my new timetable and planner. I put them in my bag but checked my timetable first.

My timetable sucked. Double gym and double science. Even though I like biology it still sucked.

I walked to my locker and began pulling my folders out and writing names on them for my lessons. That was before Austin Kydd appeared next to my locker smiling.

"Hey, I'm Austin. You must be knew here." He stuck his hand out.

"No, I'm not knew. I'm just back. I'm Ari and I'm not interested." I slammed my locker shut and walked away, Larissa in tow.

"You did not just turn down Austin Kydd!" She exclaimed.

"I don't like him. He's one of those stuck up knobs. I've seen em all before in the U.S."

"Well, Austin is hot. He wanted you and you turned him down."

I rolled my eyes walking to my first lesson.

It was lunch time and I was eating with Sage. My new friend. She was really nice and she seemed to like the kind of stuff I did. We were both one direction fans and she played guitar too.

"That's so cool, my brother is in a band." I told her.

"Yeah, Michael Clifford." She agreed.

"You know him?"

"Yeah, I went out with Calum." She huffed. "Three years."

"Oh my god. I never knew. What happened?"

"I'd rather not say." She murmured. "I've never told anyone but you, so I'd be thankful if you didn't say anything."

"I won't Sage, I promise."

I felt bad. I'm the only one that knew about this too which meant something bad must have happened. I don't know what, but I sure as hell want to know.

Home time. One of the best times at school. I was heading to my car with Sage as we decided on shopping at the mall.

"Is this your car?"

"Yup, meet ruby." I smiled.

"It's so cool." She traced her finger along the side.

"Wait till you get in. The seats are so comfy."

She laughed as we both got in and began our journey to the mall.

We were shopping now in target for some groceries that Sage needed.

"What else do you need?"
