That day of work passed by rather quickly. Everything went by smoothly, but I knew Zayn was watching me. He was making sure I was safe, after what happened the other night.
"I'll drive you home." Zayn whispered to me.
I grabbed my bag and pulled off the tag that was pinned on my T-shirt that informed customers my name.
"Fine." I sighed. I'd let him tonight, to make him feel better.
I walked out of the restaurant, and the cold breeze blew my hair into my face. I felt a huge coat swung over me.
"You're gonna get a fever." He spoke to me. I turned my head to look at Zayn, who looked at me with his worried eyes.
"Thanks." I whispered, pulling the heavy jacket closer.
.-.-.-.-.-.
"Here." I pulled the coat off and handed it to him. We were sat in the car that had arrived at my apartment.
"Do you want me to come in with you?" He grabbed his jacket and threw it to the back seat.
My eyes widened. I suddenly remembered the boy that was now living inside. Zayn would never approve of me living with a strange boy.
"No, no! I'll be fine, thanks!" I quickly jumped out of the vehicle before meeting Zayn's eyes. I heard his engine roar as he drove away behind me. I looked back, making sure he was gone.
.-.-.-.-.-.
I opened the door and walked inside. Niall was the first thing I saw as I walked in. He was sprawled out on the sofa, sleeping. His arms were folded on top of his chest as he slept. The TV was flickering. He was watching "Friends". I actually loved that show.
I tried to gently shut the door, but the wind outside didn't agree with me as it made the door slam loudly. I squeezed my eyes and bit my bottom lip at the loud sound. I didn't want to wake up Niall, but I failed.
He rested his hand over his mouth as he yawned. He quickly sat up when he saw me.
"Welcome back." He spoke silently.
"Are you hungry? I brought leftovers from the restaurant." I showed him the bag that I held in my right hand.
A big smile climbed his face.
"I'm starving!" He quickly leaned over and grabbed the bag out of my hands as I gave it to him.
I giggled as he took out the box of food like he was in the hunger games. His eyes shot up as he stared at me, realizing how scary he must've looked torturing open the box.
"Sorry. I'm just really hungry." He chuckled.
"You're fine. Just enjoy it." I grinned.
I sat back on the chair beside the sofa and slugged down. I was so exhausted. I stared at the TV that was showing commercials.
Niall chewed loudly, chomping the food down his throat.
I turned my head over to look at him.
"If you eat too fast your food won't digest right." I warned him.
He dropped the spoon in his hand. My eyes widened as I looked at the empty container. It was all gone. In just 5 minutes, he managed to gulp down the entire thing. He squeezed his eyes as he sat back on the sofa and stretched.
"You like to eat, don't you?" I giggled.
He nodded, smiling.
I stood up and yawned, "We'll, I'm going to bed."
