Chapter Seventeen- "INSANE BLUDGERS ON THE LOSE!"

The rain is falling more heavily now. On Madam Hooch's whistle, I kick hard into the air and hear the tell-tale whoosh of the Bludger behind me.

Grabbing the Quaffle, I zoom down the pitch, as fast as I can go, trying to focus on the goal in front of me. Feigning left, I throw the Quaffle right, not stopping to see if it went in, and zoom back down the pitch.

From the cheers, I can tell I've scored, and I grin, and pump the air with my fist, quickly putting it down as the Bludger whizzes past.

Time to take this Bludger for a ride!

Higher and higher I climb. I loop and swoop, spiral, zig-zag and roll. Slightly dizzy, I shake my head to clear it. Rain is speckling my glasses and runs up my nose as I hang upside down, avoiding another fierce dive from the Bludger. I can hear laughter from the crowd, but I ignore it, this is the only way the Bludger can't hit me.

I begin a kind or roller-coaster ride around the edges of the stadium, squinting through the silver sheets of rain to the Gryffindor goalposts, where Adrian Pucey is trying to get past Wood ...

A whistling in my ear tell me the Bludger has just missed me again; I turn right over and speed in the opposite direction.

"Training for the ballet, Potter?" yells Malfoy, and I look up to see Harry doing a weird type of twirl to escape his Bludger. Stifling my laugh, I swerve right and zoom up, keeping my eye on Harry.

WHAM!

I flinch as I watch the Bludger smash into Harry's elbow. Harry floats for a moment, dazed, not noticing the Bludger coming back again.

"MOVE HARRY!" I yell and Harry snaps out of his daydream and zooms towards Malfoy.

He takes his remaining hand off the broom and makes a wild snatch, grabbing something, but now only gripping the broom with his legs, he head straight for the ground, landing with a splattering thud.

Flinching, I dive down, intending to help Harry, when I hear a scream and instinctively, I dive right, narrowly avoiding being squished by the Bludger, the Bludger that used to be after Harry.

Fan-fucking-tactic!

Cursing under my breath, I carry on flying, dodging and swirling, I avoid both Bludgers, and zoom past the stands.

"I COULD REALLY USE SOME HELP, RIGHT NOW," I yell, as I pass the teachers stand. "INSANE BLUDGERS ON THE LOSE!"

I push my broom faster, zooming up and down. I hear the Bludger to my left and I swerve right, not noticing the other Bludger.

CRACK!

"Shit," I gasp, clutching my shoulder, which is hanging oddly. Dislocated....

Gritting my teeth, I attempt to turn, but gasp as the pain doubles by this simple action.

Closing my eyes, I pray that something will happen to the Bludgers. Someone blow them up or something.

BOOM!

I open my eyes and look behind me. No more Bludgers. I watch dust float to earth and I gape.
