Marcel's POV

I finally made it to my English class and I ended up the only kid in the room. A few minutes later other students piled in when the bell rang. They all examined me closely, so I shifted uncomfortably in my chair

"Good morning students, I'm Mr. Adamson," the teacher said walking in. He had a vest like mine but a leather jacket over it. It seemed that it wouldn't fit together well, but he actually looked pretty cool. I should take notes.

He had jet black hair and converse on, he seemed a little too young to be a teacher. He might be at least twenty-five while the rests are in their eighties. He sat in his chair and pulled out a huge box and started to dig through it.

"Good morning," some of the students murmured back. I watched a slim girl walk in and sat beside me without looking up.

She had glasses like mine and her dirty blonde hair hung around her face. A small clip pinned some of her hair back. She noticed me staring and laughed to herself. I turned away quickly then glanced again and she was watching me this time. She smiled friendly waiting for me to return it.

I shyly smiled to her and she then focused on the teacher, she was actually very pretty.

The teacher glanced at me, oh no please no introduction. Thankfully he smiled and went on with the class. It's almost as if he knew my embarrassment.

"This semester we are going to be focusing on Romeo and Juliet and the contexts of the play," he said handing out the novels. Ugh, I have read this already when I was a freshman. I guess this class would be extremely easy.

I sighed and the girl beside me noticed, "Have you read it before too?"

"Yeah, in freshman year," I whispered back. She nodded and put out her hand, "I'm Megan, I was new last year, you're new right?" She asked and fixed her glasses up her nose like I do with her other hand.

"Yes, I'm Marcel," I said shaking her hand. She smiled and turned the page of the novel and I did the same. After reading a chapter and Mr. Adamson had to comment on every single line, the bell finally rung.

"Okay everyone, that's the end for today," he said as everyone raced to the door except me.

"You must be Marcel," Mr. Adamson said walking up to me.

"Yes sir," I said and he smiled.

"I'm guessing you've already read this?" he asked gesturing to Romeo and Juliet in my hands.

I laughed, "When I was a freshman."

"How did you know?" I asked.

"I could tell, well I heard you two talking," he responded.

"Well, good luck on the rest of today man, see you later," he said casually. "Man" it was so unprofessional but I kind of liked it.

"Bye," I said and hurried out the door to my next class.
