I woke up the next morning in the hotel room, wondering how I had got there. My parents were already awake, and I gave them a sleepy look as they told Klaudia and I that we had to leave soon. I slowly got up out of bed and changed into a tshirt and shorts. I wasn't crazy, they were just gym shorts and I was in a warm hotel. I didn't have any tennis shoes, but I did have boots. I went downstairs in a tshirt, shorts, and boots to get a waffle.

After a nice talk about yesterday, I finally realized that Klaudia and I's adventure of Iowa was about to come to an end. I suddenly became sad as we were in the hotel room packing our stuff to go back home. Melissa was looking at me, as she could tell something was wrong.

"What's wrong sweet pea?" she asked.

"Klaudia and I's journey of Iowa is over, and I'm kinda sad. However, I'm glad we're going home so we can make more memories at home," I said as I gave her a sad smile.

"Awh, you're so sweet. Go change into something a bit warmer. It's cold outside and we have a long drive before we're home," Melissa said.

I changed into leggings and a sweatshirt, as that was the style. Plus, my boots totally matched my outfit. I walked out of the bathroom and gave my family a hopeful smile.

"Let's get this show on the road," I said excitedly.

When we got out to the car, my dad was still checking out of the room while Melissa, Klaudia and I were packing the car. I went to go get in the car but remembered something. I looked down at the huge dent in Melissa's 2012 Ford Fusion.

"Wow, this looks a lot worse in daylight!" I said jokingly.

"Don't remind me," Melissa said while laughing.

As soon as my dad came out, we were all set to go. We all gave each other a smile, and then had a family laugh. My dad turned on our favorite station, 98.7 THE BULL, that had all the latest country songs. We all started singing This Is How We Roll by Florida Georgia Line, and I realized that this is a wonderful memory my family and I will always have together.
