Serenity (Salvation Sequel Robert Downey Jr. Fanfic)

~Delivery~

Morgan was sitting on the set of "The Shaggy Dog" one of Robert's next movies. She just admired his acting smiling at him through every scene he had. "And Cut...that's the wrap for today. Good job you guys." yelled the director. They had just started filming last week. Robert walked over to Morgan smiling. He places his hand on her now huge belly. "How's our little princess doing?" he asked. "She's fine, just been hurting mommy." replied Morgan getting up from the chair. Robert helped her up and wrapped his arm around her waist. They walked side by side as they made there way to the car. Morgan than feels a sharp pain and hovers over the car. "Wait, I'm hurting." Robert rubs her back and then looks on the ground to see watery liquid coming from her. "Baby, are you okay?" he asked. "No, I think my water just broke." "Alright, let's go to the hospital." Robert helps her into the car and rushes over to the drivers side.

They arrived to the hospital and Robert help Morgan onto the wheel chair. He went inside and the nurse tended to them. Robert called up Jeff to let him know that Morgan was in labor. Robert held on to her hand as she did her breathing. She was in so much pain from the contractions. He would hold her close to him rocking from side to side as she went through a contraction. "It hurts so much." said Morgan groaning in pain. "I'm here for you baby just breathe okay." said Robert. He kissed her forhead and held her close.

The doctor walks in smiling. "Okay, Mrs. Downey seems like you contraction are going smoothly. Please lay back and I'm going to check you." Morgan laid there as the doctor examined her. "Ah, perfect time to deliver that baby. The nurses will be in here took take you into the delivery room." Robert sat next to her smiling. "I'm scared." said Morgan. "It's okay baby, I will be right beside you. I'm not going anywhere. I love you so much." assured Robert caressing her cheek. The nurses came and took her into the delivery room.

Morgan was in so much pain as she began her pushing. Robert held onto her hand. "Come on baby, you can do it." said Robert into her ear. "Alright, sweety one more push." shouted the doctor. Morgan pushed harder as she then heard the cries of the baby. She laid back crying along with Robert as the doctor held up the baby. "It's a girl, Congradulations!" the nurse handed Robert the scissors to cut the cord. He was literally shaking as he cut where they pointed to. They handed Morgan the baby as she held on to her. "She's so beautiful." wept Morgan as she placed a small kiss on her forhead. They took the baby so they could weigh her and get her all cleaned up. They took Morgan into the recovery room.

Robert stood by the window watching the nurse bathe  the baby. His heart melted when she had to get a shot. He couldn't believe his little princess was finally here. He just could not wait to hold her. He left to go check on Morgan. She laid there peacefully sleeping on the bed. He sat down next to her placing a soft kiss on her cheek. He went to check his phone and saw a text from Jeff saying he was on his way. The nurse comes in rolling the little crib that held the baby. "Hi, brought little one. Let your wife know to try breast feeding and if she can't handle it then we have formula here." said the nurse. Robert nodded his head and walked over to pick up his little princess. He sat down on the rocking chair. He rocked back and forth smiling. "Hey, princess welcome to the world. I'm your daddy. Your mommy is sleeping she's really tired. You are so beautiful." He places a soft kiss on her cheek. He noticed she wrapped her tiny hand around his finger. He smiled as a tear fell from his eye.
