Flying Away

It was dark cold night as Morgan woke up. She was still in the hospital. She looked over to see Robert standing by the window. She stood up to walk towards him. Slowly she placed her hand on his shoulder. The expression on his face was blank as he stood there looking out into the night sky. "Baby, are you okay?" asked Morgan. Silence. She furrowed her eyebrows to look out the window.

In the distance she could see Gary and Angela standing on the edge of a building on the otherside. Angela was in tears reaching out for Morgan. "SAVE ME MOMMY! PLEASE!" she screamed. Gary places a kiss on Angela's cheek and smiled deviously. Morgan's heart sank as she seen Gary and Angela leap from the edge. "ANGELA!!" shouted Morgan. Tears fell from her eyes as she watched them fall to their death.

Morgan woke up in a cold sweat, heart racing, and ear shattering screams. Robert shot up from his chair and sat down on the bed with next to her. "Shh. It's okay baby. You just had a bad dream." His voice in her ear soothed her as he held her tightly against him. "It was horrible! Gary was on top of that building holding my little girl. She screamed for me and I couldn't do anything. Then he leaded off with her." said Morgan shakingly. Robert sat there fighting back the tears and stayed silent. "Nothing is going to happen to our child." "How do you know nothing going to happen to her?! What if this dream is telling me something?!" "Morgan, you are stressed out and frustrated. It's just a dream." Morgan stayed silent and pulled away from Robert's embrace. Robert sat there looking at her. The stress was taking its full form on her. Her skin was pale. Her once beautiful emerald green were tired and weary from the lack of sleep. Dark circles and swelling surrounded her eyes. Morgan was falling apart right in front of him. He had to do something.

Robert let out a big sigh and took Morgan's cold hand into his. "Honey, you know I love you right?" he asked. Morgan furrowed her eyebrows at him confused. "Yes, I do but why do you ask?" she replied. "I just want you to know that I care about your well being. I believe that the decision I'm about to make will be for the best." He paused for a moment then continued. "I guess I should have told you earlier but, Val and your father are on their way here. Me and Val are going to continue the search. You and your father will be flying back to Los Angeles. You need rest." Morgan shot up from the bed looking at Robert with disbelief. "How could you?! Gary wants me! That's the only way I'm going to get my daughter back!" "Sweetheart, try to understand. I don't want to lose you. Look at yourself in the mirror. The stress is killing you! I rather die saving her then losing you both." "I don't care! I'll go home when I have my daughter back!" "No, Morgan. You are going home and that's final." Morgan stood there glaring at Robert. There was no way she was ever going to convince him of letting her stay. Her emotions and thoughts were all in a frenzy.

Val and Jeff arrived to the hotel. Morgan was sitting on the bed arms folded and her suitcase packed. Robert hated the silence she was giving him. It was for the best. Val stayed behind at the hotel while Jeff, Morgan, and Robert went to the airport. Before going through the terminal Robert gave Morgan a tight embrace. Her body was hard against his. She refused to hug him back. He cupped her face into his hands giving her a warm smile. "I love you, Morgan. I promise you that I will bring our princess back. Take care of yourself for me. Promise me you'll get some sleep and eat." Morgan's eyes grew watery. "I hate you for doing this to me." she replied coldly. She pushed him away slowly and loaded onto the plane. Robert didn't let her words get to him. All he cared about was finding Angela.

Angela laid in the trunk feeling discouraged. She need to escape. She pushed the back of the walls of the trunk. The soft cushion in the middle of the backseat she was able to push it out. The car came to a stop. She peaked out to see Gary walking into the store. She slowly crawled out and searched for his phone. In the cupholder there it was. She noticed the keys were still in the ignition. She pulled them out and went out the passanger door. She notice there were house's on the otherside of the highway. Angela quickly bolted through the speeding highway. The loud honking of the cars horns rang in her ears as she frantically avoided getting hit by a car. She was finally safe on the otherside and continued walking into the neighborhood. She notice a old garage door was open and she slipped inside. It was pitch black inside. Angela uses the phone as a flashlight and hid behind a large pile of boxes. She looked at the phone and slid her finger across the screen to unlock it. No password was needed. She immediately scrolled down the contacts. She found her mothers name and began calling. No answer. She decided to wait until morning to call. Angela laid there on the cold concrete floor smiling to herself. She had successfully escaped.

Gary walked back to the car and jumped inside. He went to turn the car on. The keys were gone. He look down for his phone in the cup holder. Gone. The passanger door was open. "Oh no!" he exclaimed in fear. Gary pulled the lever for opening the trunk. He pushed it open and seen the Angela was gone. "FUCK!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. He slammed the trunk close and looked over at the woman who was staring at him. She gave him a funny look. She pulled the nozzle out of her gas tank and place it back on the pump. Gary walked over to her slowly. He then wraps his arms around her pointing his gun against her head. "You scream. I kill you." he whispered into her ear. The woman nodded her head in agreement. Gary opens the back door shoving her inside. He jumps into the car and starts the car. He pushes on the gas and peels out onto the highway. Angela couldn't have gone far. He notices across the street there were houses. His search will begin there.

***OMG I am so happy to have mins on my phone again. 2 months! I will be making alot of updates. Some people are asking about the "Taking Chances" story. Yes, there is a sequel and I'm going to release the first chapter sometime this month. Anyway I really missed you guys....I'm happy to be back! Luv you guys!
