"Good god..." Chris said as he and Angelo looked at the body on the autopsy table.
.... More like autopsy tables.
"As you can see, her body had been cut clean in half, through her torso, severing the L3 and L4," Dr. Malarkey said. "And her entire skin is gone."
"What's more disturbing is this," One of her interns, a young girl by the name Miss Dorame, said, showing some area of the bottom torso. "Is that there's massive blood aspiration to the soft tissue."
Dr. Malarkey looked troubled and another intern nearby exhaled in shock.
"What does that mean exactly?" Angelo asked.
"This woman was very much alive when Roadkill cut her in half," Dr. Malarkey said.
Chris groaned in horror as Angelo was in shock.
"Also deep bruising on her wrists show she was held from the ceiling before being cut in half. Marks on the bone suggest a sharp moving blade was used," Miss Dorame said. "Similar to one you would find on a chainsaw. We've also found traces of sharp force trauma all over her abdomen."
"Good god," Angelo said.
"Where was this body found?" Chris asked.
"Near the duck pond hanging by a tree in Holland Park. A jogger found the remains on his morning run, both parts hanging from different branches," Dr. Malarkey said. "Dr. Balz is with my intern, Tyler, working on ID, but we're looking at a Caucasian female in her 20's."
"Alright then. Now, question is, what is her crime? Domestic violence like Arbour?" Angelo asked.
"Who knows," Chris said.
Soon enough Dr. Balz climbed up to the platform, along with the intern, Tyler.
"What did you guys find?" Dr. Malarkey asked.
"We managed to identify the woman," Dr. Balz said. "Mr. Hagen is very gifted at facial reconstruction."
"Let's see then," Angelo said as Tyler typed in the computer.
"We're lucky here. Turns out, she already had a record," Tyler said and a booking record popped up on the screen.
"Emma Roberts, 25," Chris said. "Domestic disturbance reported by a neighbor, booked for severely assaulting her fiancé but the charges were suddenly dropped."
"Sounds like someone Roadkill would go after," Chris said.
"But something just feels off about this one, Chris," Angelo said.
"What do you mean? She beat the crap out of her partner. Roadkill steps up his game every time," Chris said.
"Maybe... But why leave her in such a public place?" Angelo said. "I mean, Ian Watkins was found in his cell. Samuel Pepper was in an alley. Nicole Arbour may have bought attention, but she was alsoin a hidden area. Other victims were in forests, their own houses or offices, abandoned buildings, places where other people wouldn't see or hear."
Chris thought about it, and realized he was right.
"This is strange," Chris said.
"Dr. Malarkey, there's something in her esophagus I can't seem to see well," Miss Dorame said.
Dr. Malarkey looked over as she adjusted her gloves.
"Forceps," she said. Miss Dorame handed her the forceps and Dr. Malarkey forced the mouth open, and slip the forceps in.
Chris and Angelo look away in disgust before Dr. Malarkey managed to pull the item out.
"What is that?" Miss Dorame asked, handing her a tray
"Looks like paper..." Dr. Malarkey said as she took the tray and placed the paper in it before walking to a large microscope and carefuly opening the paper with forceps.
Everyone walked over and looked as she held it open to reveal typed writing, Miss Dorame reading out loud.
To Special Agent Cerulli,
I won't stop until justice is made.
Until its safe to be human.
Next victim will be a the
king
prize.Catch me if you can...
"He's taunting you," Tyler said.Chris continued to stare at the note, feeling angered at this.
"King prize?" Mister Hagen spoke.
"King could most likely be a person of higher status," He's going to claim another victim, probably someone famous."
"That way the media will be on our backs once we find the next victim," Dr. Malarkey said. "Mostly on Agent Cerulli."
"Huh," Dr. Balz said. "What an evil little genius."
"Chris," Angelo said.
"We'll need to visit Ash and Misery. Tonight," he said. "This stays out of the press. Call Sirak. We'll need a warrant just in case."
Forensic team nodded.
"Thanks, guys. Stay in touch," Angelo said.
"Glad we could help," Dr. Malarkey said as the agents left.
"So, we go to Sinful tonight?" Angelo asked.
"Yeah," Chris said. "Call our dancers later."
"On it," Angelo said
~~~~~~
Okay, sorry to disappoint, but I REALLY, really do hate Emma Roberts with all my might.
I apologize if anyone is a fan of her, but to me, she's just another lowlife bitch.
Anyway, let me know what you guys think so far!
I'm actually starting to have a liiiiiittle bit of writer's block on the next chapter, so if you got an idea on what should happen in the next chapter, give me an idea below in the comments. :)
