CALEBS P.O.V
I didn't expect to be heading back to rosewood anytime soon. But when a person dies, everybody needs to return. Hanna and I drove down the long road leading to rosewood in all black. Blake was safely with Ted and Ashley back in new York.
Neither of us had said a word most of the journey.
"Do you wish you had more time?" Hanna asked quietly.
I looked across at her and smiled sadly "he was my dad Han."
She nodded "I know."
Jamie-my dad- had a heart attack a few weeks ago, and now his funeral was being held, in the familiar church of rosewood. We soon arrived and pulled up outside the white building. Faces were gathered around, probably my family, but none I would recognise. The only person I did was Jamies girlfriend Sam, they had been dating since I had found him. She was around his age, and had black curls. Hanna and I walked over to her and spotting me, she smiled weakly. She too, didn't know the family members around, Jamie had never really had the chance, they weren't a close family. I pulled the women in for a hug "how are you."
"I'm fine." She nodded and wiped her eyes "you're making a speech?"
I gulped before nodding. I had been asked to make a speech about my life with my dad. It had only been 2 years but he was my dad and I loved him and now he was gone. Hanna took my hand and Sam walked off to go to the bathroom. We stood there a second.
"Do you recognise anyone?" Hanna asked.
I shook my head "not at all-"
"Caleb?"
I spun around and a petite old women stood there.
"Yes?" I asked.
"It is you!" She gasped.
"I'm sorry but you are?"
"I'm Susan-Jamies mom." She paused "your nan."
I sudden rush of emotions filled inside of me. What did I even say to this women?
Hanna noticed and smiled at the women "I'm Hanna-Calebs girlfriend."
"Lovely too meet you." Susan replied grinning at Hanna.
I opened my mouth to speak but didn't quite know what to say "um-how old was I when you last saw me? Cause I don't remember you." I sighed.
"4." She paused "you've grown so much."
"Well...I'm 19 now and I'm a father so I guess I-"
"You have a child?" She asked.
Hanna nodded "he's 10months. Blake."
I got out my phone and showed the women a photo of my son proudly.
"Wow."
"Thank you." I said.
"I'd love to reconnect with you Caleb." She said.
It was silent for a moment "I'd love to reconnect with you too."

Hanna and I sat in the second to front row next to my mom,Claudia, who had turned up and Sam. My mom and dad obviously aren't together, but they're friends and at the end of the day at one point they loved each other enough to have me. Hanna held my hand throughout until I stood up to make my speech. I was nervous. I was related to most of the baby watching me, and they had no idea who I was. I looked at Hanna who smiled at me encouragingly.
"Jamie was a man with a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone. I knew him for a little time, but I'm greatful I met my birth father before his end. I'm thankful I got to spend time with him and get to know him, he wasn't just my dad, but he was a friend, him being in my life meant everything to me, and even if he's gone now, his presence will always be there." I stopped and everybody clapped and I quickly took my seat again. Hanna squeezed my shoulder and kissed it swiftly "well done." She whispered. The ceromony was beautiful, a few people shared a speech before we all headed outside and watched him be buried. Hanna cried softly into my chest as he was buried. After all, he was family.

//
"Hey dad." I whispered.
It was later now and everybody had gone home, Hanna was in the car waiting to head back to new York. I stood over my father's newly put grave "sorry I didn't try and find you sooner- I wish we had more time."
I stared at the grave stone for a while "I'm ask stupid."
"You're not stupid."
I turned around and Hanna was stood, arms crossed a few metres away.
"Hey." I said softly running my hand across the stone.
"He really loved you-you know that right?" She asked.
I nodded "I should of found him sooner..."
"Caleb-" she paused "you had 2 years..."
"Hanna you should go and visit your dad."
"What?"
"Appreciate him before he goes." I stuttered.
Hanna smiled weakly and tilted her head and nodded.
I stood up and walked over to her "you ready to go home?"
She nodded "come here."
I hugged her tightly and finally let myself cry.
"It's okay." She whispered.
"Thank you." I said.
"Let's go." She took my hand in her smaller one and we headed back to the car and back to new York.
