╔ Here comes the Boogey-Man!

"Bloody hell Alfred! Give me the bloody microphone!"

"Ahahaha! But its my story! I should be the one to tell it."

"Then all the story is going to be about is you eating your blasted hamburgers rather than the real story!" the Brit snatched the mic from the energetic American. England gave another glare to America before straightening his tie and clearing his throat.

"Ahem, sorry for the interruption, but a rather obnoxious person came and stopped me. So, on with the story I will be telling, and I hope you enjoy it."

-.-.-.-.-.-

Carter sat in her room reading her favorite book trying to pass the time till one of her favorite people came. Most wouldn't be able to describe this person or thing or whatever it was. The first time you would see him all you would notice about him was his slightly messy sandy-blonde hair, his happy electric blue eyes hidden behind his spectacles, and his tall but lean figure. That's the form he wants people to see, not the scary, gruesome one that follows his nature. The strange girl that Carter was never minded the mysterious man named Alfred; except for the first time they met, but that's for a later time.

A shiver ran down Carter spine as the presence of Alfred came near. Melting away from the wall, seemingly he magically went through it without using the front door, he smiled the first second he saw her. She returned the smile and she put her book down to exclaim, "Alfred!"

"Look at who's happy to see the hero!" Alfred teased and held his arms wide to get a hug. Carter's smile turned into a smirk as if saying 'yeah, yeah' and walked up to him to give him the hug he wanted.

"Did ya miss me?" he asked.

"I saw you last night!" Carter reminded him.

"So?" he looked down a her. Rolling her eyes she asked her own question.

"What do you want to do today?"

"Can we freak out your British neighbor next door?" he asked hopefully.

"No! His is actually very kind. The only bad thing is when he tries to give you his scones."

Alfred scrunched up his nose at the mention of the so called British food, "I feel sorry for the kids that come to his door step on Halloween when he tries to give them out for treats tomorrow."

Carter chuckled as she went back in her original position picking back up her book.

"And speaking of Halloween, what are you going to dress up as?" his blue eyes filled with eagerness.

"Nothing, I, uh, have things to do..." she said not making eye contact.

"Blast," Alfred said.

-.-.-.-.-.-

"Wait! Dude, bro, I do not use the word 'blast' at all!" America complained, "it's an old British mans way of talking."

"Why did you interrupt the story, again?! Fine, I'll use a different word. But 'blast' is not an old mans word..."

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

"Damnit," Alfred said disappointed, but then noticed the way she was lying. "Wait, come on Carter! You have nothing to do, unless your a scared-y cat!"

"Uh," Carter shifted uncomfortably, "Halloween is never really one of my things."

"Please?" he begged giving her puppy dog eyes for extra effect. She hated it whenever he did that, he always ended up getting what he wanted.

"Fine, but I don't have a costume," she still tried to get partially out of it. The American smirked as he snapped his fingers and a full costume magically appeared out of thin air.

"I wish I had that power," Carter mumbled envying him.

There's another thing about mysterious Alfred. He was one of the monsters of Halloween, which granted him the power of his 'magic.' When Carter was little she used to call him the 'Boogey-Man' because that's how he acted when they first met. Poor little Carter tried telling the adults what she saw -the scary monster under her bed-, but of course it was just some tall tale to them. Alfred found the most amusement out of the little girl and visited her again and again till he grew attached to her. Now it would be weird for Carter to say that some 19 year old looking guy has followed her since her childhood and had special powers now, but she accepted him as one of her few friends.

Alfred handed Carter her new costume then he started to walk backward as a shadow casted over his face and had a mischievious, dark smile etched to his lips.

"I'll be waiting to see you tomorrow," he slowly walked into the wall like there was some kind of portal there. Once the feeling of his presence was gone, Carter sighed as she touched her hand where Alfred disappeared to thinking about all the crazy things he has made her do.

[....]

Carter dashed around her living room trying to get ready for tonight, but stopped for a minute to enjoy the smell of the pumpkin spice candle Alfred had got her before. She never voiced her want for it, but somehow he knew and gave it as a surprise gift making her more than happy. She learned to enjoy the little things since you can never be sure what's going to be taken away from you.

Then a squeak came out of the young female as strong arms wrapped around her waist. Alfred laughed at her reaction and held her tighter only causing a blush to rise on Carter's face.

"You always sneek up on me," she turned to look at him.

"Yep! And I see you're wearing the costume I gave you," he beamed and she backed away to show more of it. Carter flushed some more and looked down at her outfit. It was a simple but a nice blue fairy costume that matched the blue glasses she wears. A dress that flowed to the bottom of her knees, beautiful blue and purple wings, and white flats. She even did her dark brown hair in a curly fashion.

"How do I look?" she asked hopefully.

"You want my opinion?" he observed the dress.

"Yes," Carter nodded.

"My truthful and honest opinion?" he asked the same similar question again.

"Uh, yes?" she said unsure becoming self-conscious.

"I think you look perfect." Annoyance came to her and she hit him on the arm.

"Then why didn't you just say so? You started to make me feel bad," she frowned.

"I'm sorry," Alfred lightly smiled, "but you just look so cute."

Cue for more blushing and dissolving anger to the joyful male. "Fine. So when are we going to leave?"

"Hmm, y'know I don't think I want to show you off to anyone. I want to keep you all to myself," his eyes became playful.

"Wha?"

Alfred used this time to grab her waist and pull her into a kiss. "I like this treat better," he smiled bigger.

"A-Alfred you k-kissed me..." Carter couldn't believe it.

"I did~. I bet your too stunned by my hero awesomeness."

"Shut up, you overconfident man," she said and pulled him into another kiss.

Having a magical hero as a boyfriend is pretty impressive to me.

Why don't we give him a treat~? ╗
