The feeling of pain
Pain in your soul
The feeling of cold
When the cards all fold
After being brave and bold
Boom! You're gone
Like a candlelight in the windy forest
Like a soldier in a deadly battle
My cage still rattles
With that same cold feeling
Like a prisoner of war
Did you forget what you're fighting for?
Handing over your life
Negotiating every term
But still stand firm
Against the greater enemy we all face
And that is death.
Something we must not fear
With every breath and every tear
That feeling inside you
That pain
That sorrow
That is the thing you must not fear
For it is what we all experience
And it happens
As does death
And his non-stop rein over our world.
