The True Fear

Should one surrender
When put on their knees
Praying that you won't die
And you wonder why
How did you get here?
Is this a nightmare?
Is this my worst fear?
Death can be cunning
Death can be stunning
The one thing anyone is afraid of is dying
Heights, you are afraid to fall and die
The dark, you are afraid whats in it will kill you
Spiders and snakes because their venomous
What is it about Death that makes it so terrifying?
Is it the family to which would loose you?
Is the the constant promise that you will be alive the next day?

You would have lied, but not on purpose.
No one knows when the end will come
No one knows when the battle will be won
We can only see the light of our existence can make a constant mark on other lives.
We should appreciate that while we are here
Good or bad its still an impression you must live and die with
But is it Death that does the deed
Or are we our own fiend?
Our decisions lead up to how we die
And with that nothing is predicted
Nothing is guaranteed

Now to those who don't fear Death
I raise a glass to you
Because you understand that its not only a fight for survival
Its the right to live, love, cheer, get angry, get sad, and most of all to be human
And it all ends with death.
So tell me should you fear life more than death?
Death comes quickly, however you do have to live life before experiencing death.
When living life you shouldn't fear that death can come at any moment
You should fear when life comes because that is the most unpredictable entity in the world.
