You were the celebrity of one of the greatest band in the world and I was just a normal girl. But you didn't listen to the paparazzi, you stood up for me. What no one did for me.

Did you know that one time at the lake, with that tree we sat in? When we got to the Carnival and got some icecream?

My parents found out and wanted to take me home and you got so angry that your parents talked with my parents and eventually I was allowed to stay?
You let them realize you were different.
That was really the best summer of my life.
Remember when you gave me that ring of your grandma? Your grandpa fought in the war in Vietnam, thousands of kilometres from his beloved wife? I will wear the ring forever with me.
