-Kira: If found, return to Light Yagami-

Light screamed, practically drunk of an old friend by the name of power. Kira's golden leash choked him desperately. Blood spilled down the white walls of his mind. It pooled at the bottom of a adorned staircase, trickling down individual steps. Memories seeped through his pores, little pixels on the screen that was his brain. He hissed, electric freedom coursing through his veins. It unfurled inside his system with a satisfying pop.

He felt every inch of him change into this royal sort of fabric.

This is what it felt like to be a god.

Pure narcissism, ecstasy, and adrenaline. He felt like if he tipped over a glass, it would shatter into a beautiful rainbow of corpses and decay. The second it hit the floor, he'd be restored. His full power would drown him.

And so he tipped the glass.

-Excuses-

It was seven times now, an eighth one currently in the making. Ryuzaki would tip over his chair just a little too much, or get just a bit too excited about the work Light was occupying himself with. It would end with L's body touching Light's somehow, and Light would then gently push Ryuzaki off.

He always had some reasoning behind it. "I had to make sure you were writing your report properly, Light-kun." He'd say, scooting away from the other. He'd set his plate down on the table beside him, and their hands would brush. Light wasn't a huge fan of physical contact, and it was starting to irk him.

As if it wasn't enough to be stuck handcuffed to this weirdo, now he had to deal with his personal space issues? Was it really so hard to stay at least a foot away from him? L was now leaning dangerously close to Light's laptop screen, and Light was preparing himself to push Ryuzaki away. L didn't take the hint, and instead stayed hovering over the younger's shoulders.

Light was getting bored of all this endless work. He came up with an idea in his head, and could already feel laughter flushing his body.

"Ryuzaki, would you please move?" Light tapped the keys on his notebook, alarming L. L's hands drifted to the laptop. "I don't see why me being in this proximity is an issue." L typed back. His arms were reaching over Light's stomach in an uncomfortable sort of way.

"It's making it difficult for me to work effectively." Light spoke. L took his hands off the laptop. He rose a thumb to his lip. "Just then, you were being quite childish, almost like Kira." He said flatly. Light narrowed his eyes. "Ryuzaki, me typing doesn't increase the chances that I could be Kira!" He huffed. L simply stared at him. His hands fled for the keys once more, accidentally rubbing Light's rib cage.

"Would you please move?" Light hissed. L typed out his answer, taking more time than necessary. "The closer I am to you, the quicker I'll be able to prove you innocent, and that could expedite your freedom." Light read the pixels in L's voice. He threw his hand in the air, ready to yell, when everything went wrong.

The chair that was now supporting both L and Light toppled over. Light fell to the ground will a solid wham, and L soon followed.

"Is this bothering you, Light?" L looked down at Light. "The fact that I am so close to you?" You could almost hear the smirk as he gauged his reaction. "Of course it does! Any sane person would want someone removed if they were on top of them!" Light growled, discarding L.

Light could not stand being touched anymore.
