Nathan's P.O.V
This months have been a great experience for me and Amanda. I'm already feeling like a dad. I'm more responsible now. In four months , I'll have a baby! We still don't know if it's a boy or a girl. Today we're going to meet up with Dr. DeMarius to find out! We could't be more nervous.
Amanda sat on my lap as I read the newspaper on the sofa. She started to kiss my cheecks slowly and passionate , then she moved to my jaw line , and my ear. I closed my eyes and thought how lucky I am. I have everything I've ever wanted. A wonderful job , good friends , a family with a new member coming , and a perfect girlfriend. "I love you" she softly whispered as I felt chills down my spine. "I love you too , babe" I said hugging her tight , like I never wanted to let her go. She smiled at me with that perfect little smile she always had. "You're my everything , you know ?" I said looking deeply into her eyes. She put her arms around my neck , and kissed me . "I'm nervous Nath... It's such a special day" she said and I nodded. "You want a boy or a girl ?" I said grinning and she laughed at me. "The typical question" she started as I laughed "Hmm , I'll be happy with both , but I really want a boy" she finished "Really? Me too. I will teach him how to play soccer , to sing , how to get girls , how to be-" I said but got interrupted by Amanda's laugh "HOW TO GET GIRLS?" She said
"Yeah. I'm a professional at that. I got you , haven't I ? I got the most beautiful and wonderful women of this entire world. My son will like me to teach him my little secrets" I said as her eyes filled with tears. "You're going to be an amazing father"
"And you're going to be an amazing mother" I said wiping her tears.
**2 hours later**
Amanda's P.O.V
We're now at the doctor's waiting room , reading that little books with names for babys. "Giaffanio? What the fuck? Who in the world would give this name to a poor little child ?" I said as Nathan laughed . "What name do you like for a girl?" I said and he looked at me with a huge smile "I like Maui for a girl. It's not a typical name , but I like it. I don't want our babys to be named with regular and popular names like John and Mary. It needs to be something different , something special"
"You're right babe. Actually , I liked the name Maui. It's cute" I said and he laughed at me "What?" I said "You're so cute Mandi" he said as he blushed. "Oohh you're blushing!" I said teasing him "no i'm not" he said attempting not to laugh , but failing "oh come on!" He said and we laughed together
"And a name for a boy?" He said "I like Keaton , Wyatt , and Henrique" I said and he made a surprise face "Henrique ? What would be his nickname ? Henri or Ricky?" He said laughing and I rolled my eyes "okay , okay. I like Matheus. What do you think?" I said "hmm , Matheus , Matt , Matty...I liked it" he said
"So we have an agreement here? If it's a girl , Maui , if it's a boy , Matheus" I said smiling and satisfied
"It looks like we love the letter M babe" Nath said laughing and smiling "Oh shut up you jerk" I said laughing back
"Excuse me , Ms. and Mrs. Sykes?" an elderly lady said and we raised our hands "here!" Nath said smiling "Mrs. Sykes , huh?" He said as I blushed "Ohh who's blushing now babe?" He said as I walked into the doctor's room "hurry up , you look like a turtle"
"Hello Amanda. I'm glad to see you again. And I assume this is Nathan , the father" Dr.DeMarius said smiling at Nathan
"Yes sir. Nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you , too. Now please , have a sit" he started
"Oh Amanda , look at this bump! Congratulations"
"Thank you! I'm super happy" I said
"So , the baby is now 5 months old , we can already discover the gender. Do you want to ? Or do you want to be a surprise?" The doctor said
"We want to know" Nathan and I said together. We looked at each other and smiled
"Well , I see you both want to know the gender" he said in between laughs "Amanda , please sit down here , and put your shirt up" he said and I obeyed him
"You're going to feel a little cold again , but it's temporary"
"It's okay" I said
The doctor turned on the ultrasound device , and he started to spread gel on my belly.
"Look there guys. There's your baby" he said
My baby. It was so small , so perfect. I looked at Nathan , that was almost crying , and held his hand. "It's ours" he said "It's so beautiful"
"I can already tell you the gender" the doctor said as my eyes sparkled of happiness. Nathan had a huge smile at his face , too.
"Congratulations Nathan and Amanda , you're having a baby boy"
