Chapter 5:Christmas surprise

    Kyu's POV

It's 9am,and I have somethings planned for today. I get out of bed, and wake up Mark."WAKE UP IT'S CHRISTMAS,"yelled. I scared him so much that he fell out of bed and onto the floor."What was that for,"he exclaimed."It's Christmas,"I said. I left the room and ran into my brother's room and yelled,"WAKE UP IT'S CHRISTMAS." He woke up in a state of terror."Merry Christmas,"he said."Get up I have things planned for today,"I said."I'm gonna start breakfast,"I yelled."Okay,"he replied. I ran down the stairs and soon followed Mark. "Mark what you want for breakfast?"I asked." Pancakes,"he said."Comin right up,"I said.

A little while later my brother finally decided to join us in the kitchen."Hey Umi finally decided to join us,"I said as I handed him his plate."Hey since it's Mark's first christmas here and you getting your idea approved I thought we could go bowling or roller blading , then after that we could go out to eat,sound cool,"I said. "How bout we go play some hockey,like we did when we where kids,"Umi said."That's a great idea,Mark when we were kids back in Canada we would play competitive hockey,we won most of time,"I said."Then why don't you have any trophies around here?"He asked. When I left Canada to go to school in LA I left the trophies I won at home,"I said. "Why,"Mark asked."Because we would compete on different team so I felt like I didn't deserve those trophies because we didn't win them together,"That's kind of you,"Mark said. Then I heard the door bell ring."I got it,"I said. I walked to the door and opened it,to my surprise someone unexpected was at the door.

"MIKO,"I said overjoyed."KYU~SAMA,"she said with the same amount of excitement as me. I gave her the biggest bear hug I've ever given."I though you had to watch obasan,"I said."I had Toshio~kun stay with her,"she said. Toshio is her twin brother he was all ways better than her a every thing, she hated that, it's even worst that he was born one minute before her, so he always boast about being the 'older sibling'."Who's at the door,"called Umi."Guess who showed up," I said as Miko~chan waved at Umi."Miko how's life been,"Umi said as he stood up and gave Miko a hug."It's been fine,"she replied.She noticed Mark sitting at the table and gave a confused look. She leaned over to me and whispered to me,"who's that,"she said. "That's Mark your 'early gift',"her confused looked turned to clarity."Mark come here, there's someone I'd like you to meet,"I said. Mark stood up, walked over to me and Miko, and gave Miko a confused look."Mark this is Miko~chan she's a childhood friend,"I said."It's nice to meet you Mark,"she said as she shook Mark's hand."You too,"he said."It's good that you showed up when you did me and Umi were planning to go play some hockey like old times,"I said."That's a great idea, but I haven't been on ice in years so "she said."Before all that, Kyu I have something for you,"he was so excited to show me that he bolted upstairs before I could respond.

A few minutes later Mark was still upstairs."What's taking him so long,"I said."It's okay, Miko~chan I'll check,"she said as she was walking upstairs.

Miko~Chan's POV

I didn't want Kyu~sama to worry any more so I decided to check on Mark. I walked upstairs and walked in Kyu's room. I saw Mark sitting on the bed reading something, I wanted to get a closer look. I walked closer to him slowly, until tripped over something and fell on Mark's lap. Mark held me in his arms so I wouldn't fall on the floor. My face turned a bright red, I just stared into his eyes and he stared into mine. "Mark,K...Kyu wa...wanted t..to know...w...when you'll b...be down s...stairs,"I stuttered."I'll be down in a moment,"he said in his surprisingly deep voice. I stood up and walked down stairs."Kyu~sama he'll be down in a moment,"I said flustered. A minute later Mark was walking down stairs with something behind his back. He walked up to Kyu and handed her a nicely wrapped present."Mark you shouldn't have,"she said."I thought you deserved it, just for accepting me into your home, now open it,"he said. She carefully unwrapped the present,to see a box she opened the box to see a necklace that spelled 'Kyu'. "Thank you Mark," she said as she nearly tackled Mark when giving him a hug." No problem,"he said" Mark I have something for you," I say as I hand him my present. He takes the the gift out of my hand and starts to unwrap it. "It's a camera,"He said. "Yeah I thought that since you're new to LA and stuff I thought you might want to document it,"she said. "And you can upload the photos on my computer and print them and put them it frames or in a scrapbook,"she said. "Thank you,"he said. "Now let's get ready to play some hockey,"Takumi said.
