Chapter 9: Confessions

Mark's POV

I didn't feel Miko in bed so I woke up to see her tip toeing out of the room so I ask her where she's going. She said she was going to the kitchen so I though I would join her.I got out of bed to see Miko's face redder than a tomato. I asked her if she was okay, she stuttered then ran out of the room. Weird. I left the room and saw the bathroom door slam closed. I knocked on the door, I asked her if she was okay once more, told her that I was gonna make breakfast. I walk down the hall towards the kitchen. I started to make pancakes, after a while Miko finally joined me in the kitchen. "Hey Miko, you okay?"I asked as she sat down at the table."Yeah I'm fine," she said."Are you sure, why'd you run out of the room like that?"I said."Oh yeah, I wasn't feeling good so I ran to the bathroom,"She said."Oh okay well here,"I said as I handed her a plate of pancakes."After we  finish eating we've got to go over to Kyu's house,"I said."After breakfast I'll go get...wait you don't have a change of clothes,"Miko said."It's okay, I'll just wear what I'm wearing right now,"I said."Really,that,I think I have something for you to wear,"Miko said. She got up and ran to her  room.

A  few minutes later she showed up with a light blue button up and jeans."Here wear this, it's my brothers he left it here the last time he was here,"She said."Thank you Miko,"I said as she handed me the clothes. "I'm gonna go take a shower If that's okay with you,"I said."Yeah totally go for it,"Miko said. I got up, cleaned my plate, put it in the sink, and went to take shower.

Miko's POV

Mark got up to go take a shower, I was still eating. When I finished I got up, cleaned my plate, put it in the sink, and went to my room to plan my outfit because I was gonna take shower after Mark. I looked in my closet and got a white shirt with flowers on it and went to go get some leggings from the drawers. I sat it all on the bed. I heard Mark call my name name from the bathroom."Coming,"I said as I walked towards the bathroom. I saw his head peak from behind the door. His hair was soaking wet. "Hey Miko do you have any underwear because you didn't give me any,"he said. "Oh yeah I forgot,"I went back to my room and searched my drawers till I found some underwear. I ran back to the bathroom, I knocked on the door, he opened it,"Here sorry,"I said as I handed them to him." Thank you,"he said. I walked back to my room. Awkward

After a few minutes Mark walked into my room wearing the outfit I gave him."Well what do you think,"he said."You look great Mark,"I said."I'm gonna go take a shower too,"I said."Okay,"He said. I grabbed my clothes and walk to the bathroom. I take a shower, get dressed, and walk back to my room. I walk in to see Mark staring at my tulip by the window."Mark you like it,"I said."Yeah I love it,"He said."Mark come on let's go, I called an uber and it should be arriving any minute now,"I said."Okay,"He said."The uber is here let's go,"I said. We walked outside to see our uber pulling up. We both got in and drove off.

We arrived at Kyu's house. We got out of the car, I thanked the driver then they drove off. We walked towards the door, then I  knocked on the door. I hear shuffling behind the door then the door opened. Luckily, Takumi answered the door."Miko,Mark so glad you guys are here, come in,"he said. "Umi who's at the door...oh you,"she said."Hey Kyu~sama"I said."Don't you 'Kyu~sama' me," Kyu said."Sorry,"I said."No Miko don't be sorry,"Takumi said." Kyu, I'm sorry,"Mark said."Shut up Mark,"Kyu said."Hey! Kyu you are acting very immature,"Takumi said. "Kyu, I'm in love with you,"Mark said."Wait, what about you and Miko,"Kyu said."I sort of used Miko to get back at you,"Mark said."For what,"She said."Well, remember on Christmas when I took a long time to get my present for you." "Yeah." "Well while I was up there, I may have read your diary." "YOU WHAT!!" "I'm sorry I know what I did was wrong and I should have in the first place, read that you called me a prototype like I didn't matter I started to feel apart of the family then I read that got mad and involved Miko I'm sorry". "Mark you invaded my privacy,plotted against me,got my best friend mixed up in this and you want me to just accept your apology just like that," Kyu started to tear up. Silence fell upon the room. Mark and Kyu face to face. Then Mark wrapped his arm around her and engulfed her a hug.

Mark's POV

Kyu stood in front of me tearing up. I wrapped my arm around her and comforted her a best I could. I look to her. My eyes trailed down to her lips, before I knew it our lips connected, intertwined in each others. She pushed away from me. " Kyu, I love you." " I love you too". " I'm gonna go to the bathroom to get cleaned up,"Kyu said. " Okay." I look over to see a excited Miko and a angered Takumi. Takumi stomped over to me. "Mark do not hurt my Kyu okay this is you're first and only warning, okay?" Takumi said angrily." Okay," I said. It may seem like I'm calm be on the outside, but on the inside I'm terrified.

Miko's POV

Kyu finally left the bathroom."Hey, Kyu can I borrow your car,"Takumi said."Oh yeah sure,"Kyu said." What's going on?" I asked." Takumi has a date,"Kyu said mockingly. A..date...no,no,no I mean I don't expect him to stay single forever but I thought he would be going on a date with me." The keys are by the door," Kyu said."Thanks, see ya," He said as he was leaving the house." Good luck,"Kyu said. Mark walked towards me, he could tell that something was wrong."Miko, you okay?"he asked."Yeah I'm fine,"I said. I lied I wasn't fine." I'm going go,"I said."No Miko stay you can stay with me and Kyu,""No I would just get in the way,""Please,"I just want to go, okay?" " Okay, see ya ,""see ya,"I said as I walked out the door. I just needed time to think so I walked to the park near Kyu's house and sat at one of the large trees and cried. Until someone tapped on my shoulder."Um...hi..."
