"Can I see your schedule?" I asked Luke breezily, as we stepped out of the office. He shuffled around in his bag and handed me a sheet of white paper. Scanning the sheet with my eyes, I regrettably saw that Luke had the first two classes with me and the last three as well.
"Follow me," I said bluntly, not giving him a chance to respond before heading off down the west wing for history class. I was not in the mood for whatever this clearly unpleasant boy had to say and I couldn't wait for this little tour to be over. I could just tell by the way he carried and presented himself, he was trouble, and I didn't want to be associated with him. I heard his footsteps follow me on the white tiled floors.
"You know, you never said sorry." His voice sounded from behind me. I turned around, catching the sight if his smirk as I responded,
"You lost the chance of an apology when you stormed off." I said, crossing my arms and tapping my foot as he caught up to me.
"Ouch." He place his hand over his heart and faked hurt by pouting his full lips and batting his eyelashes. I rolled my eyes before entering the room on my right; Ms. Chesterfield's history class.
"Um, Ms. Chesterfield, this is Luke. He's new." I introduced Luke to the teacher and she smiled welcomingly,
"Ah, yes, Mr. Hemmings. Well since you are already acquainted, why don't you take the seat next to Miss Tucker." I groaned to myself but silently took my seat in the back of the classroom. Luke plopped his book down on the desk next o me and slid into the seat, leaning towards me as he whispered,
"What's your first name?"
"What?" His question caught me off guard.
"You know, your name. I never learned what it was."
"I don't think that it's important for you to know." I replied before letting my hair fall in between us, creating a soft brown barrier. I watched out of the corner of my eye as he leaned across the aisle when Ms. Chesterfield's back was turned. He whispered something to the girl and she blushed before saying something in response. He leaned back with a smug look plastered across his face.
"Quinn, huh? Isn't that a name for guys?" Annoyance bubbled inside me at his words.
"I don't know, isn't Luke a name for douchebags?" He smirked and let out a small chuckle before opening his notebook and scribbling down the notes. He never spoke again to me for the rest of the morning periods.

"Are you always this hostile towards everyone?" I slammed my locker door shut at the sound of Luke's voice. I turned to see him standing behind me, lip piercing caught between his teeth. Something about the sight of him, his perfectly quiffed hair, the numerous tattoos that adorned his body, his bright blue eyes, just caused annoyance to stir inside of me.
"No as a matter of fact I'm not. For some reason I just don't like obnoxious punks." I said, moving to go to the cafeteria. I felt his large hand wrap around my wrist, clutching onto me and preventing me from moving. Tingles shot through my body and a shock of warmth erupted from his touch.
"Quinn, I..."
"Is there a problem here?" A strong voice sounded from behind Luke and I felt arms wrap around me. Carson's face came into view and Luke dropped my wrist.
"Nope. No problem at all." Luke replied smugly before stalking off down the hall. Carson spun me around in his grasp and looked down into my eyes.
"Baby, was he hurting you?" His fluffy brown hair fell across his forehead, falling into his hazel eyes. I shook my head and kissed his cheek.
"No babe, don't worry about it." I said, wrapping my arms around his waist and walking with him towards the cafeteria, thinking about what just happened.
