Luke

Knock. Knock.

I waited with my suitcase outside of the front door of my house and immediately saw my mum peek through the curtain and run to the door. I was greeted with a warm hug and the sound of my brother's footsteps becoming louder as he made his way down the stairs.

"Luke," Jack said, "good to see you," he gave me a man hug and took one of my suitcases inside for me. I trailed behind both of them with the other bag of luggage.

"Oh Luke we've missed you loads, I'm so happy you're back for a few weeks. I know you'll probably still have interviews and things but at least you're home," my mum said to me.

"Yeah it's good to be back, where's Ben?" I asked.

"Oh he's out and busy with wedding prep but he'll be should be back by lunchtime," Mum responded.

"Cool."

"Oh and I've been speaking with Jenna, remember Alina's mum, I thought the two of you could meet up again. You two were so close."

"Oh er, we haven't spoken in a while," I turned away from her.

"That doesn't mean you can't still be friends," she reasoned with me.

"Look I bet she doesn't even remember me, she'll have moved on," I grabbed my bag from the table, "I better go unpack."

I took my bag and suitcase upstairs and went to my room, second door on the left if I remember rightly. I opened the door and immediately a sense of nostalgia filled me; my old room, my old bed, desk, wardrobe. Everything was how I left it. Yes I've seen my family since I left to tour 2 years ago but mostly they've seen me at my place. And now I can't remember that last time I was stood in here.

I haven't thought about Alina in a while, we lost touch so long ago, I was just so busy and I know she was too with exams and all that. I want to see her again I guess, but 2 years is a long time, especially at our age. I wonder if after all this time, it's just best to leave things.

Alina

I watched as a black car rolled into the drive a couple of houses down from mine, I watched a tall boy with a lip ring emerge and hug his family, I felt any piece of hope or optimism fade from my body as I realised I had to come to grips with the truth.

He really is back. Not just rumours and articles, but here is Luke Hemmings in the flesh, coming home.

Sorry I haven't updated for a while but I've been in Barcelona and haven't really had time to write or wifi to update. This chapter is also a filler and really short so I'm sorry.
