Una semana después de que Katniss aceptara volver a estudiar, le dijo a su jefe y este le dijo que cuando regresara el mismo lugar que tenía seria para ella si es que cambia de opinión pero Katniss dijo que mejor se lo diera a Prim ya que ella pronto iba a regresar, su jefe le dijo que haría lo posible. Ese día Katniss dejo el trabajo, solo que ella no sabía en dónde ir a estudiar.

Unos días después Peeta le dijo que fuera a Juilliard, ella se negó ya que no quería ir a Nueva York y separarse de todos e ir al otro extremo de Estados Unidos, Peeta le dijo que estaba bien que todos prometieron que cuidarían de Cashmere.

-Pero no podre venir todos los fines de semana – dijo Katniss

-¿Y quién dijo que tu vendrías a vernos?

-¿Qué? – dijo Katniss confundida

-Nosotros iremos a verte – dijo Peeta – pero no todos, iremos dos semanas o un mes tú decide

-Peeta aún no he mandado la solicitud

-Pues hay que investigar

Al final terminaron investigando que tienen que mandar un audio con lo que va a tocar el estudiante y ellos deciden si va a estudiar en Juilliard o no.

-Bien – dijo Peeta – en estos días te vamos a grabar

-Bien – dijo Katniss convencida

-Ya si dicen que vas a hacer tu audición pues sabremos las cosas no

-Si – dijo Katniss

Una semana después se encontraban Cashmere, Peeta, Johanna, Annie y Finnick mirando y grabando a Katniss tocando una canción de cuna en el violín, pero al final que ella acabo, Peeta paro la grabación y todos le aplaudieron

-Me pongo nerviosa si me ven – dijo Katniss

-Lo pudimos notar – dijo Peeta – pero lo hacemos para que se te quite ese miedo el día que hagas la audición

-¿Y si no la hago?

-Te van a aceptar – dijo Johanna – sino lo hacen yo iré a hablar con ellos

Katniss rio al comentario de Johanna, después le dijo a Annie, Finnick y Johanna que fingieran ser los jueces mientras que Peeta y Cashmere grababan; ellos aceptaron.

Volvió a tocar la misma canción pero ya no se puso nerviosa Katniss, sino alegre ya que sus amigos la apoyaban mucho, al igual que sus padres y su hermana. Cuando acabo, Peeta dejo de grabar y todos le aplaudieron más fuerte

-¿Qué tal?

-Mejor – dijo Johanna – autoconfianza

-Gracias

Dos días después mandaron el audio por internet a Juilliard, más tarde salieron todos – al igual que Cashmere - a comer y después llevaron a Cashmere y a Johanna a casa; Katniss, Peeta, Annie y Finnick fueron al Karaoke.

Cuando acabo la canción ellos corrieron a las chicas y las besaron.

Tres semanas después llego una carta de Juilliard de que Katniss tenía su audición en dos semanas en un Auditorio en Los Ángeles. Todos se pusieron muy felices.

Katniss y Peeta fue a casa de los padres de Katniss – y por ahí vieron a los de Peeta – y les contaron todo, sus padres se llenaron de mucho orgullo por Katniss.

Prim se enteró por una carta que le mando su hermana.

Katniss las siguientes dos semanas se la paso ensayando para la audición.
