Everything went quiet all of a sudden, I felt a cold breeze against my face as I slowly opened my eyes. As my eyes opened I looked around where I was, in a green grassy field. I turned all the way around seeing that this field looked similar to the field in my dream, but in the distance I saw what looked to be a medieval small village. "Where exactly am i?" I asked myself as I looked around in a slightly dazed confusion. I walked towards the village trying to get my bearings on what just happened to me. As I slowly walk into the village a few of the villagers stare at me giving me weird looks. "Who are you?" A tall male villager with a scruffy brown beard asked me as I looked up at him. "My name is Joshua." I said looking up at him. "What are you doing here Joshua?" He asked with a distasteful look on his face. "I don't know, where exactly am I?" I said as he looked at me with a disbelieving look. "You're in the frontier village of Sharmack." The villager said to me with the same distasteful look on his face. "Where is that?" I asked as he looked at me with a fake smile full of confusion and slight fear. "It's in the country of Drakeneal, in the Kingdom of Varsia, are you lost kid?" The villager said with a confused look on his face. "I've never heard of Varsia, where is Varsia?" I asked as he looked at me with disbelief and anger.
"Are you messing with me kid, it's on the continent of Arise." The villager said with a look of intense rage on his face. "Sorry about that I was a little lost." I said as I wondered to myself where I exactly am. The villager walked away from me in clear irritation pointing to a building about 100 meters away. The sign on the building said tavern. "A tavern, thank god somewhere I can sleep." I said to myself as a realization hit me. I feel in my pockets in hopes to find something when my hope is fulfilled, I pulled out ten copper coins and two silver coins that I didn't recognize. I put the coins back in my pocket deciding to just go to the tavern to get my bearing's. Once I finished getting my bearings I walk over to the tavern door and begin walking in. At the desk of the tavern is a boy about sixteen who has brown hair and brown eyes, and a man who looks like his father with the same brown hair and brown eyes. "Hello there, would you be interested in a room?" The man at the counter asked. "Yes, I would like a room." I said smiling to the man as I walked over to him. "That will be five copper coins a night." The man said as I handed him the coins and he handed me the keys to a room. "Is that your son?" I asked looking at him with a smile. "Yes this is my boy, his name is James, and by the way you will be in room number five." He said smiling back at me.
"Thanks for the room." I said as I headed up the stairs towards my bedroom. Once I get to the room door I open it and walk in laying right on the bed "Where am I?" I said as I go over everything that happened to me in my head. Then it hits me, I sit there for a few moments as it sinks in. "Am I dead?!" I shouted about being hit by a transport, then I was in a field and in my confusion I didn't realize what happened. Well I'm trying to figure out what was going on I begin to hear shouting outside of the tavern. "What's going on?" I asked myself as i left the room and went down the stairs. I look out the tavern window and seven less then pleasant looking guys holding long swords, war axes, and spiked clubs. "Bandits, god damn them." The tavern keeper said as he looked outside as well. "Do you have a sword?" I asked as I looked at him. "I do, but please don't try and be a hero kid, its better if you don't do anything." The tavern keeper said to me with a sad hopeless look on his face. "Just give me the sword!" I yelled at him as he took the sword off the wall behind the counter and handed it to me. I run out the doors hearing what the bandits are saying. "Look you old shit, just give us a few times with your daughter and we will forgive your debts." An ugly bandit said. "No please don't touch my daughter, I'll pay the debts I promise." An old bald man said while he was holding onto a young girl who looked roughly around fourteen years old with dark hazel eyes and long brown hair. A bandit grabbed the girl by her hair ripping her out of her fathers arms, his friend kicks the father to the ground letting out a sickening laugh. The bandit slashed downwards in one swift motion, his blade only stopped by the sword I'm holding, our swords edges locked together in a battle of strength one with the intent to kill the other with the intent to protect.
