--------------- Chapter Six-------------

The next couple of weeks were amazing; we went to all sorts of planets and places. The Doctor took us to a few space stations, medieval Europe, caveman times from another world and we even helped fight off a Rakling invasion on a rainforest planet. When we weren't off having adventures, the Doctor and Rose usually hung out in the console room, while I worked in my room. Although I searched almost everywhere I could search with the systems at my disposal I still couldn't find any trace of mum or dad. I knew the Doctor was searching too but it wasn't like he was gonna find anything. Rose didn't ask about River again and I was glad of it. A few times I joined the Doctor in the console room and he'd teach me about the universe, telling me all the facts and figures he knew about different galaxies and aliens and all that stuff. Rose would listen as well but she couldn't keep up the way I could.

"How do you remember all that?" Rose asked one time. "I got lost ages ago."

"Timelord brain." I said, tapping my head. "I can keep track of 71% of information given to me, a considerable amount larger than humans."

"Well thanks." Rose said, laughing.

"I'm sorry but it's true." I saw recognition momentarily flicker across her face and hastily changed the subject.

Three weeks after this conversation I was in my room, searching the intergalactic scanner as usual for mum when Rose appeared in the doorway. She was wearing a denim jacket over a pink dress with a pink headband in her hair. She span around so I could see the full picture.

"What do you think?" she asked me.

"You look good." I told her honestly. "Where are you going?"

"The Doctor's taking me to see Elvis." She answered. "You coming?"

"Na, I'm just gonna stay here and keep searching." I said.

"Good luck." Rose said sadly.

"Hundredth time lucky, you think?" I joked, although my voice cracked a bit. I really had lost almost all hope that I'd find my mum. I wondered what the Silence was doing to her.

Rose just smiled sadly. "You'll find her, I know you will."

I looked down at the ground. "Yeah well, never mind me. You have a good time."

"I will." Rose said. "See you later."

"See you." I replied. Rose walked away.

A couple of minutes later the Doctor came past wheeling a blue scooter bike thingy.

"Elvis, 1950s." he said. "You wanna come?"

"I'm just gonna stay here." I answered. "Bet Rose'll like the bike though."

"Really?" the Doctor asked, then he glanced down the hallway to the console room. "Well gotta go. Good luck. We'll see you later."

And he got on the bike and rode off.

I watched my scanner while they talked and then rode off together, before getting back to my search. I sonicked the machine for the millionth time, to make sure it was searching for the right time lord DNA. After about ten minutes I looked over at the scanner again and gasped. There was a red flashing light. It had found her. My mum was here, close by. I scanned the location to my sonic before running out of my room as fast as I could. I made sure my sonic had picked up the right signal and then I burst out of the TARDIS and ran down the street.

Following the signal on my sonic, I kept going for twenty minutes until I found the entrance to Silence catacombs in an abandoned warehouse. I followed my signal until I looked up and realised I was surrounded by Silents. I pulled the gun I always had with me out and mowed them down, and then I ran. They followed me but I was a good runner and a good shot, they didn't even get close. I followed the signal, bursting into an empty room. It looked a bit like the console room actually, like someone was building a TARDIS. Mum was close; the signal was stronger than ever here.

I was about to burst through the next door when a strange light came out of the weird console like machine. I stared at it for a moment and too late started to run. I dropped the sonic. The light ensnared me like a force field as out of the shadows stepped a lady with an eye patch. Madame Kovarian. She injected a needle into my flesh as I screamed.
