--------------- Chapter Eight-------------
I woke up in my bed, in my house, on an ordinary day, an ordinary person. I could hear my dad bustling about in the kitchen and my brother talking out in the other room. It was all just a dream. Ha. I felt my chest just to make sure. Nope. Only one heart. I was an ordinary human. That was a freaky dream though. I should really stop watching Doctor Who.
"Katelyn, get up now or you'll be late for school!" Dad shouted.
I smiled and swung my legs out of bed.
After getting dressed and packing my books, I left my room. As I passed the bookshelf I ran my hand over my Doctor Who collection. I pulled out a David Tennant series. Weird, the Doctor didn't look like that in my dream. I mean, people usually look the same as in real life in my dreams but this time they didn't. Strange. It was the same with Matt Smith series; he was not the same as my dream 'dad' at all.
Later at school, I told my Whovian friends about my dream. They thought it sounded awesome.
"You should write it down." One of them, Luca, said.
So I did.
But this isn't where it ends cos after this it gets weird. Six months after the dream, I was walking home from school on my own. I had just crossed the road, when suddenly I noticed all these pen lines on my arm, tally marks. I looked around me and suddenly it was like a nightmare. There were Silents all around me but they weren't attacking me, they were protecting me? Anyway, so I was looking around worriedly when suddenly I heard, unmistakably, the TARDIS.
"Doctor?" I yelled, as the wind picked up around me. Then suddenly the world was shifting as the console room materialised around me. I could see the Silents' surprised and outraged faces just as the TARDIS set down around me. I blinked. I couldn't remember what had just happened. Then my vision was obscured as someone gave me a violent hug.
"Oh Katelyn," the person said. "You're safe!" Then they moved back and I saw that she was a blonde girl of about twenty. Next to her, smiling warmly was a guy dressed like the tenth Doctor, and with the same hair, but he couldn't be. He looked different to the Doctor on the show. I stared around in confusion. A moment ago I'd been on a footpath, outside. Now I was inside a huge futuristic room with a console in the centre and small hexagonal lights all over the walls.
"What? I don't understand." I said. "What just happened?"
"You were kidnapped, Katelyn." The guy dressed like the Doctor answered. "We only just managed to track you down. Luckily there was no one guarding you or it would've been much harder."
"But there was- How can you guys be real?" I stared around frantically, bewildered. "How can the TARDIS be real?"
"What do you mean?" the blonde girl asked, looking concerned.
"I mean... I mean... well you guys are just a TV show." I said. "Not you guys, obviously, the people on the show are totally different but-"
"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait." The guy dressed as the Doctor held up a finger. "What show?"
"Doctor Who." I told him. "It's about the Doctor and he goes on adventures in the TARDIS and he's an alien and it's like the biggest sci-fi show in the world."
The guy dressed as the Doctor and the blonde girl just stared at me blankly.
"Come on!" I said. "You must know it. You're supposed to be the Doctor and Rose right? You've got the costumes right and the hair but your faces are different."
"Supposed to be?" the blonde girl/Rose asked.
"Costumes?" the guy/Doctor looked offended. "This is an authentic suit!"
