Spain regards Romano as having his own separate language which he has christened 'Romano Language', in which "go away, bastard" means "hug me" and "You're the stupidest person ever, why do I even talk to you?" translates to "I love you".
It's difficult to learn but perseveres because he thinks Romano is worth it.
