*Cara's POV*

I don't know how long I was knocked out. I felt like I slept for days. My eyes adjusted to my surroundings as I realised moving to hell wasn't a dream. And I was still here. I bodied my head in the pillow I was laying on and let out a scream. I went to look at my phone but it wouldn't turn on. I plugged it in to my adapter, assuming it was dead but nothing happened. Panic set in when I thought of the idea of not being able to talk to Niall.

I ran down stairs where John and Stephanie were being a little too touchy-feely with each other in the giant kitchen. My nose scrunched up at the sight as their gaze met mine. They simultaneously flashed a winning smile towards me.

"Well Sleeping Beauty had finally awoken! I've never seen jet lag hit someone so hard before!" John exclaimed, arms still around Stephanie's hips.

"How long was I out?" I asked.

"Going on a day and a half right about now." He explained while looking at the Rolex that sat on his wrist.

"I was about to come up there to see if you we're still breathing!" He laughed but my facial expression didn't change. He looked down at my cell phone that I was gripping tightly in my hand.

"Oh! That reminds me!" He says, jumping off the kitchen stool, making his way to the opposite side of the island that sat in the middle of the kitchen.

"That phone will do you no good here in the states so we got you a new one and added you to our family plan!" He pulled out a black iPhone from the bag and tossed the box to me. I nearly dropped it, but I caught it right before it could hit the floor. The word "family" kept floating around in my mind and it made me feel nauseous. They weren't my family. Not for the last year at least. My family was back in Mullingar. But they didn't want me there either. Maybe I don't have a family.. I did have Niall.. Now I don't even have him. My stomach lurched at the thought and I quickly shook it out of my head.

"Thank you." I said blandly.

"Steph and I already programmed our numbers in there so you'll have them."

I turned around to start walking to my room when he added something else.

"Car.." He said, with a tone I really didn't recognise, "We also got you the international plan. You know. So you could talk to your friends back home."

He knew the only friend I would want to talk to back home, and the thought of that brought heat to my cheeks and I gave them a warm smile and nodded my head in appreciation.

I run away from the kitchen and back upstairs to my... New room. I didn't like the idea of having a new room. Or house. Or life. It all seem surreal to me. Like somebody of nightmare I couldn't wake up from. I take out my new phone and start setting it up. I go to the contact list and only see the two numbers installed. I quickly went to the keypad and punched in Niall's number. I pressed call and it rang a couple of times before he answered.

"Hello?" He said cautiously, not recognising the strange number.

"Hello again, love." I say, relief washing over me when I hear his voice.

"Oh thank God! It's you, Cara." He says excitedly, almost giggling. "I haven't heard from you in what seems like days! I thought you had changed your mind and moved on."

"Never babe. Just wanted you to have the new number." My grin grows wider as I forget where I am. All my focus is on Niall's voice.

"Hey, Car?"

"Yeah?"

"Can we Skype in a couple of hours? I'm kinda busy at the moment arranging plan for boot camp."
