Kevin hadn't expected to be required to watch a five year old today, he didn't even like kids. But no, his good friend was looking for a baby sitter for his son, Aleks, and he had been the first one that was thought of. He didn't like the idea but he agreed, knowing that he had nothing better to do that day and that he may as well as watch the kid for a few hours. So there he sat on the couch, being forced into watching children's shows at eight in the morning on his one free Saturday. He watched the little boy bouncing in his seat as he giggled along with whatever song was being sung and he felt his heart strings tug. The little kid was lucky that he wasn't a hellion -- at least, right now -- or Kevin would've had a fit by now.

"Yo, Aleks, you hungry?" He called to him, seeing the little boys eyes light up instantly and his head nod cheerfully. "Good." He replied, getting up and hoping that he would stay there until he knew for sure that he had something kid friendly in his cupboards. He nearly came up empty, except for the banana and hidden Lucky Charms that he had hidden away from himself sometime over the last week. Pouring the cereal into a bowl and then the milk, he called Aleks over and when he didn't come running, Kevin grew worried.

"Aleks?" No answer. "Aleks!" He yelled now and began frantically looking for the little boy that he soon found in the laundry room, nudging at his Siamese cat. "Aleks, come on, leave him alone and come get breakfast. Please." He pleaded, pulling his cat into his arms and pointing to the door for the little boy to go. If there was one thing you didn't mess with, it was his little boy, his precious cat. That was all that he could ask for from the kid but he should've knew better.

After that little incident, the day went on a bit more smoothly until it was nearing dinner time. Aleks had taken a nap for most of the day, much to Kevin's relief, and now with him awake, he was bouncing off the walls and getting into everything. Presently, he was singing at the top of his lungs and running about the house with his creeper plushie in hands, and even worse, growing increasingly on his nerves. With no sign of him dropping over and calming down, Kevin threw himself on the couch and smothered his face inside of a pillow, hoping to ignore it as best as possible and for relief to come to him. Neither of which happened like he had hoped so.

Aleks at one point came over and poked his side to get his attention. "Yes?" He piqued, unsure of what he wanted right now. Getting a chirped "hi Kevin!" before Aleks took off again, he felt his eye twitch and smothered himself once more. He just wanted his dad to hurry and come get the little kid before he screamed. Never again would he volunteer to watch a little kid unless they were on a child leash and not as hyper as this one was.
