Kevin visiting Aleks in Colorado was no surprise and even less of a surprise when the two ended up curled up together each night of the visit. The two had been dating in secret for the last two months, only Eddie and James so far knew of this tidbit. The real surprise had been when it started to snow and snow hard. With where they were stationed in the Colorado at the moment, the snow had been expected but Aleks had neglected to check the weather before he asked Kevin to come visit for a few weeks. Upon waking up the next morning and seeing that their plans to go do a few things in the city had now been hindered by this huge mound of snow blocking the door to Eddie’s apartment and the parking lot, only one thing came to Kevin’s mind.
Shove Aleks into it.
As Aleks opened the door to see if it would be worth attempting to shovel away, Kevin whistled under his breath and casually shoved his boyfriend into the snow. “Oops!” He called out, pretending that it had been an accident but was easily shut up by a snowball being flung at him. Kevin gave a low whine as the ball hit him in the chest and he scooped down to get his own clump of snow to begin firing back at the other male. In the end, Kevin found himself shoved also into the snow with Puppy Chef sitting atop him and Eddie laughing from the doorway as he called his baby girl back inside to warm up, leaving the two children to play.
With this knowledge and with the fact that their friend had been teasing them for the last week over how utterly and sickly cute they were, they tried to prompt him outside. When this plan failed and they retreated in to get jackets and gloves, and a bit of hot cocoa, they found themselves immediately back outside, another snowball fight following. This time, Aleks won and he clobbered his boyfriend in the side a good three times with his shabby amount of five balls. The two knew it were in good fun and allowed a hearty laugh as Aleks inspected his work on the other’s side. A huge patch of white glistened off of his jacket and he grinned in triumph. “Oops.” He replied, a sly grin on his face.
"You fucker!" Kevin laugh, drawing up snow to start on a snow man now as he felt another snowball hit him as he bent over. "That’s cheating!" He laughed again, abandoning his started piece and throwing a handful of unrolled snow at Aleks. This earned him a ‘check the logs’ and the two couldn’t help but to laugh until the other couldn’t duck out of the way in time and ended up with snow all about his hair and down his shirt. To say the least, he was cold and wet and he wanted his revenge once more on Kevin, and he would have it. Just not yet, he had decided as he helped the other roll balls up and lift them for a snowman. Kevin ran inside once more to grab buttons and something that would make a decent nose. As well as one of Aleks’ ball caps to throw onto its head that he told his boyfriend they would dry off after they took pictures and kicked it over that evening.
Eddie observed the two from inside, checking on them every once in awhile from the downstairs window, shaking his head as he saw them taking selfies with the snowman. If he could actually call it that. If there was one thing he could say, it was that he was proud of the two of them for becoming more open about their relationship in the past week. Today had been the day they planned to tell Jordan and Seamus but that had been quickly ruined by the snow. He shook his head now and allowed them to continue well into the evening when the street lights kicked on and he had to literally drag them inside the apartment. “Go take a warm shower you two and I’ll make more cocoa, maybe dinner too.” He laughed as the two shivering fools darted off to the bathroom, racing to see who could get in first.
"Just shower together, damn dude!" Eddie yelled at after them, getting a shoe thrown in his general direction.
