They'd been best friends since third grade when Kevin spotted the slightly smaller male being beat up by people he called friends. He had stepped into the middle of the fight to get them off of Aleks and potentially save him from more humiliation. As time went on, Aleks grew attached to his savior and now best friend, often sticking by his side when he needed to go somewhere in halls or on the way to and from school. They lived just a little down the road from each other, so for them, it meant a win/win situation. Someone to talk to and someone that they both could trust.

In sixth grade, Aleks was forced to move away to Boston, where he lived up until freshman year. Things for the young Russian went okay in his new school, he made new friends, thought he found the girl of his dreams (unfortunately not, as that went downhill fast), and for the most part, ended up forgetting about the elementary school he went to in Seattle for the first portion of his life. His new friend, Jakey, ended up sticking with him once he found out he would be moving away again to where he once came from, and offered to come out during the summer to help him out. Both of their parents agreed, and the two boys began packing clothes and the like for themselves at the end of the school year.

Within the next week, everything was settled and they were on the go to a new house in Seattle. Close to the high school Aleks would be attending but still a decent distance from the main part of the city, so for the family of three and Jakey, it seemed to be a decent deal. Moving in took around two weeks, and another week to get completely settled, having two teenage boys helping surely sweetened the ordeal and made it easier for them to get everything done much quicker. They had Aleks registered for the upcoming school year as soon as the time came around and before they knew it, the summer was over and his friend was leaving for Boston.

Being home made Aleks remember his past and what had happened when he was a young child. He could recall the beatings and Kevin, his old best friend that he'd lost touch with upon the move. He thought about looking for him on Facebook a few times but came up with nothing and soon, he decided he should just let him go for now. Aleks' freshman year started off quickly, moving about and getting used to how his new school worked, trying to make friends again. He met a senior, Eddie, who he instantly clicked with and found himself enjoying his silly presence at odd times. When the other graduated, he felt a sick sense of sadness overwhelm him as he went off to do his career with YouTube, something that he'd been trying to pressure Aleks into.

At the start of sophomore year, he ended up trying the whole YouTube thing out and found that he liked it quite a bit. The friendships he made with people around the world made him ecstatic, one in particular, named Kevin though, put him a bit on edge. If he were able to figure out how to put together the dots and see it at the time, he was sure he would've punched himself in the face over how stupid he had been. But he didn't notice and he ended up becoming best friends with the male over the internet. This friendship carried on to senior year, when the two planned a meet-up at the Space Needle. Aleks agreed on October the 18th, after school let out, and he began to trek over there in his car.

He became utterly stunned when he slipped from his car and saw the male who wore a 'Hi My Name Is..." sticker that said Kevin on it. He knew him before he even realized it was his internet friend. This was his Kevin, the Kevin he had met as a youngster. This man was the one who saved him and actually ended up with friends with him. At first, Aleks didn't move but after a few minutes of staring, he walked over and engulfed Kevin into a tight hug. "You may not remember me, but I'm Aleks. Aleks from elementary school." He mumbled into the hug, the words pouring out as he realization dawned on Kevin and he squeezed the other back even tighter.

The two clicked again after that and ended up staying best friends this time until the end of senior year. Aleks had been losing friends left and right, having chosen to become friends with those in higher grades until now. Kevin and Jakey were the last few friends he really had and in the end, he thought he felt more than friendship toward Kevin. He never explained it or what he felt to him or why he felt so shy is his presence, he just ignored it until Kevin came to him one day, a smirk plastered across his face. Aleks questioned what he were up to but he didn't say anything, just shook his head.

At the end of that day, Kevin came to Aleks, asking him in the most sweet manner if he would have the pleasure of being his boyfriend. Red flushed across the older's cheeks and he nodded -- how he could feel the same toward him, he would never know, but he would never question it.
