"I'll bring the mango float about five minutes before 1:00pm." Lauren's mom called out as her husband began to drive out of the curb to drive Lauren to her school Christmas party. "Thanks mom! Love you!"

Once Lauren said goodbye to her dad, she heads for the gate and almost fell back when she felt a sudden force pushing her backwards and a warm body engulfing her. Then another more force knocking her back. And another.
"Okay guys, there's a lot of me me to go around," she spoke as she pulled from the group hug. Dinah slapped her arm and she let out an exaggerated 'ouch'. The girls laughed and they headed inside the school grounds. Lauren noticed someone missing.
"Where's Camz?"She asked when they were turning left on a hallway. Normani and Ally froze while Dinah let out a frustrated sigh. "She's with Austin," Dinah managed to answer.
Austin. The Austin Mahone. School heartthrob, handsome young man, great vocals, and skilled guitarist. Who wouldn't fall for him? He's practically been chased around by girls and boys alike. But everyone knew that he likes Camila.
The thought of Camila being with Austin right now makes her grimace. She has seen Austin's attitude with Camila and behind the girl's back. Whenever he's with her, he acts all gentlemanly and call her 'princess' or 'my lady'. But whenever Camila's not around he keeps on pushing people out of the way and bullying other students. How does Camila not know? Well Austin has his power of threat to make the students shut their mouths. Oh, I forgot to mention, he's rich as fuck. So disobey him and your ass will be beaten by the end of the day.
"Laur, we're here." Normani said as she puts a comforting hand on Lauren's shoulder, making her snap out of her thoughts.
"What's wrong? You know you can tell us, right?" Ally said as she strokes Lauren's arms up and down. The gesture made the Latin girl calm down a bit.
"I-uh sorry.." Lauren looked down at her feet, she was too embarrassed to look at her friends. She has seen Austin flirt with Camila numerous times before and she would be lying if she said she's okay with it. Seeing the boy do his moves on her makes her mad. Was it jealousy? At this point, probably. Her feelings for her best friend has become stronger every single day and now that Austin made his appearance, it hurts her to know that Camila might fall for him.
She hasn't noticed a tear has rolled down her eyes until someone wiped it off for her. She was too deep in reminiscing Austin's flirting attempts that she doesn't even know who this random person wiping her tear might be. She was soon engulfed in a group hug by four girls. Wait, four? Lauren furrows her eyebrows at the thought and looked up to see who this fourth person might be. Camila.
"Oh my god Laur, why are you crying? Did someone hurt you? Did someone say anything that would hurt you? I swear to god I'll—"
"It's okay Camz, I'm fine."Lauren reassured the concerned Camila in front of her.
"B-But why are you crying?" Camila intertwines her hands with Lauren's and stroking the back of it with her thumb.
"It's just something stupid,"
It's about you.
"Stupid? Then why are you—" Camila couldn't even finish her sentence when Lauren cut her off. "You know I'm very emotional,"
Camila pondered for a moment. What could've gotten Lauren to cry? She saw this irritated look on her face and just let's the subject go for now, but she'll definitely talk to her later after the party. "Okay."
"Guys I gotta go," Ally said, breaking the uncomfortable silence between Camila and Lauren. Ally was a senior so she wasn't on the girl's level, but they were close friends none the less. Everyone said their goodbyes to her and she glanced knowingly on Lauren's direction. She gave her a warm smile and Lauren reciprocated as well. They soon headed inside.
The room was colorful. Very colorful. Every inch of the room was decorate with Christmas decorations. From the chairs to the tables. Even their paper plates were Christmas themed. As the party was about to begin, Lauren excused herself to get her mango float for the party. Her mom and dad helped her carry the frozen desserts to the room. A bunch of students were willing to pledge food instead of paying for a sinking fund for the food. It was just more convenient.
The party soon began. There was a legit proper introduction, headed by the teacher and the class president. There was even a Dj booth!

Soon after, they were playing all kinds of party games, from Trip to Jerusalem to a Spaghetti eating Contest, everyone was participating willingly and by the end of the day everyone had fun.
Everyone helped clean up the classroom after the party. Then as the students piled out of the room, Austin hugged Camila from behind who was currently holding hands with Lauren. They were currently talking about who would survive in a zombie apocalypse.
"No Laur, I would definitely survive! I'm not as clumsy as you think I might be," Camila defended herself. Lauren laughed at Camila, purely knowing that Camila is most definitely the clumsiest person on earth.
"Nuh-uh, you're gonna be like 'Oh is that a bullet? Oh wait,'" Lauren acts out being dead by motioning her hands and tilting her head. Both girls laugh, but Camila still won't admit that she'll never survive a zombie apocalypse. They were cut short when Austin hugged Camila from behind, nuzzling his chin on her shoulder. Lauren's face grimaced and she let go of Camila's hand, making the other girl frown at the sudden loss of contact.
"Hello my lady," Austin greeted as he took Camila's hand on his own and kissed the back of it in curtsy, which made the girl flinch a bit but didn't have the guts to let go. "Oh hey Austin."
He motioned her to stand up, helping her in the process. He lead her towards the center of the room. He then whistles and probably everyone in the school were piling around the two, making a crowd circle around them. They were all bringing balloons. What caught Lauren's eye are the five guys lined in front of both Austin and Camila. They were all holding cards. Austin sends a smile to the crowd, then to Camila. He then begins to start his speech.
"I would like to thank everyone who helped me set this up and to those who came here to see me make history," he smirks "you all know that this lady right here is the love of my life. She has made the saying 'love at first sight' more real to me than I thought it would be. I fell for her ever since I laid my eyes on her. So today, I'm gonna make history for myself, and for her. So..." He faces Camila and smiles sweetly which made Lauren's stomach churn.
"Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao," he motions to the guys holding white cards. They turn the, around and reveal a message. "Would you be my girlfriend?" Austin kneeled on one knee to add more romantic effect. Everyone practically yelled their throats out at this point. Lauren's ears were hurting by the second. She turns to Camila who was visibly pondering for an answer, she could see the cogs turning on her head. Camila turns to Lauren who caught her brown orbs filled with confusion and.. pity? Camila pursed her lips, and Lauren caught the message.
Camila wanted to be out of this mess. So without any hesitation, she pushes through the crowd and grabs Camila by the wrist. She drags her through the crowd of students shouting curses and boos at both of them. Lauren was infuriated while Camila had tears streaming through her eyes.
