Vocaloid 9

Chapter 6

Melissa was walking past Aiko's room when she heard her say something. She stopped walking and listened to the last thing she said and smiled a little. "She's in love, that's great...she's making good progress..." Melissa began to walk again and went to her lab, and looked at the vocaloid sitting on the lab table. She sighed and walked towards her. "Kiyoto...you have to come out of the lab sometime..."

Kiyoto shook her head. "No, I don't want to. She'll hurt me again."

Melissa picked up some papers and set them beside her. "Kiyoto, you can't stay in here forever--"

"Watch me."

Melissa sighed and kept talking, "Listen. You have to come out, it's not okay to stay here all the time. Plus, I think there might be a vocaloid that you can be friends with."

"Are you sure? Or is that just another trick to get me out of the lab?" Kiyoto got off the table and began to pace the floor and sighed. "Even if there is a new vocaloid...there's no way in the world that they would want to be my friend."

Melissa typed something on her laptop and looked at Kiyoto. "Well, does the name Aiko Sakine sound familiar?"

Kiyoto's eyes widened and she began to feel tears fall down her face. She quickly wiped them away and began to pace the floor again. "Of course I do, she was my best friend in my past life...but she was taken so soon...I could've warned her...I could've saved her...oh, who am I kidding? I could've saved her whole family! And her best friend...I could've saved him too...he told me how happy he was with her, how she was the one...they were so perfect for each other! But I didn't tell them in time..."

Melissa sighed softly and hugged Kiyoto. "Kiyoto...it's okay...you have another chance! You can be friends with her again! You just have to get out of this lab!"

Kiyoto looked at Melissa. "If I come out, promise me no one will be hurt this time?"

"I promise."
