Are you sure?

With a raised eyebrow, Stevie got out of the car, once Lindsey stopped driving and said that 'they were here'. She looked around, they were in the suburbs, Lindsey was trying not to smile, when she turned to him.

"Care to explain?" Stevie asked.

"What do you think?" Lindsey answered with a question back.

"What do I think about what?"

"Well, this house." He showed with a hand in front of them.

"It's lovely, it's... it's kind of big." She shrugged, not catching up.

"And it also will be ours if you say so."

"Excuse me?"

"I've been thinking of moving out of that apartment for a while now, even before we got together, been saving up too. We're having a baby and we need more space for the four of us. It could get pretty crowded. I got talking with one of my patients and he mentioned he was selling a house." Again, showing at it. "Decided to came and check it out, he offered a reasonable price..."

Stevie stood in silence, trying to understand if he was serious or just joking.

"So?" He pushed, when she didn't say anything.

"Linds, are you sure we, I mean, now only you, can afford it?"

"You shouldn't worry about money. What I care about is us, our family. I don't want to raise another child on the concrete. This is an area only for us. Come." He said, taking her by the hand. "Look, we'd have a backyard. I could build a swing set for the little one over here and you could have a small garden of roses, which you told me was one of your dreams to have."

"It's a stupid dream." She waved it off, blushing slightly, as she didn't think he'd remember something like that.

"Baby, it's not." Placing his hands on her stomach from behind, he pressed a small kiss to her neck. "I want this for us."

"I'm not saying that I don't, I'm just... well, you know me, I find things to worry about all the time." Laughing lightly, Stevie said, as she then turned around in his arms. "Can we take a look of the inside?"

"Sure." Smiling, Lindsey nodded and led the way.

The house wasn't that big, as it may have seemed from the outside; a living room and a kitchen on the first floor, three bedrooms upstairs. After the small tour, Stevie had made up her mind, but she didn't want for Lindsey to get into any trouble, especially with money, after everything she had to go through with Brad... Although, she never actually knew what his financial situation was, it didn't interest her.

Once they were outside again, Stevie looked up at Lindsey, biting on her lip, before she asked. "Are you sure we can do this?"

"As sure as I'll ever be."

Finally allowing herself to smile, she hugged him, pulling back a little to kiss him too. "Wow... I never in a million years thought I'd have this; a man I'm so in love with, children, a house with a picket fence in the suburbs..." Chuckling, she hung her head to hide her face, as she felt herself tear up.

"Hey..." Lindsey put his palms on the sides of her face, making their eyes meet. "There's no shame in getting emotional. This is a pretty huge step we're taking."

Nodding her head, she agreed. "It is, but I'm happy, because this shows me that, you know, we're not temporary, that we're for real."

Laughing, Lindsey said. "Well, we've been for very real for a few months now." He put his hand on her growing belly, causing her to smile.

"I love you."

"And I love you."

They shared a brief kiss and got back in the car to head back to where they weren't going to be living at for much longer.

After Lindsey had picked up Will from soccer practice and the three of them ate dinner together, Lindsey also told his son of the plans to move into a new home. Will didn't have anything much to say to that, since he didn't really have many friends or friends that would be hard to leave behind, only asking if he was going to have to switch schools.

Later the same night, as Stevie was getting ready for bed, she suddenly stilled, her eyes growing wide at the realization of what just happened. "Lindsey!... Lindsey get in here know!"

Throwing the covers away, he jumped from bed, rushing to the bathroom. "What? What is it?! What happened?"

"Linds, she's moving." Reaching for his hands, she placed them on where the baby kicked just a moment ago.

Quite speechless, he stroked her belly softly, until the baby moved again, gasping, then he smiled, bending to kiss the spot.

"She?" He then asked.

"I feel like we're having a girl, I don't know why, I just do."

"It would be nice to have a mini you."

"You're sure about that?" Stevie joked, as she let go of the hem of her nightgown, letting it fall down.

All of a sudden, Lindsey turned serious. "I know that you tell me constantly how happy and how thankful to whoever is up there, you are that you have me, but Stevie... you have no idea, just how happy you make me. I'm a different man with you, a better man. With you, I've learned what love truly is, because I'm certain, I haven't loved before we met, and what a fantastic feeling that is."

Feeling like she was about to cry yet again, she simply stood on her tiptoes, kissing him, as she then whispered, she loved him against his lips, as he did the same, saying he loved her too.
