Vile thoughts fill my head, each one getting more violent than the last. The white strait jacket presses my limbs together tightly. The fabric often makes me itch. Goosebumps cover my pale legs.
'How could I have been so stupid?' I think.
'How could I let them catch me again?'
I growl in anger and frustration. I look down at my legs where my cuts are. Now they have scabs over them. Looking at them makes me want to claw at them and open them back up. Just thinking about my blood dripping from my legs makes me lick my dry lips. My fingers wish to hold a knife again.
"Well, well, well back into the asylum I see."
I cringe at that voice and close my eyes.
"Ignoring me won't make me go away you know?"
"Leave me alone," I say, my voice hoarse from not speaking.
He chuckles. "You know that will never happen."
I open my eyes and look up. His red hair is still lovely and his green eyes still hold that mischievous glint that I love. I sigh, knowing that he loves attention and will get it either way.
"What do you want?" I ask.
He grins. "Why just to see my favorite girl!"
I huff, knowing that he wouldn't just come here to see me; he wants something. I am getting annoyed quickly.
"How's hell? Is it fun?" I ask bravely.
His eyes beam and his grin gets bigger. "Oh it's wonderful, the screams, the pain, and the chaos. Oh it's a joy!" he says happily.
I snicker. "I figured as much, you sick bastard."
"But I'm your sick bastard."
"You were," I say.
He frowns and tilts his head to the side.
"You ruined my life and now I'm stuck here in this hell hole because of you!" I shout angrily.
His grin returns. "Oh no honey I was only part of it, you did the rest"
He starts to walk around the room. "Yes I did trick you, but look at you now!" He spreads his arms out wide. "You're who you were destined to be; a monster, like me!"
"No I'm nothing like you."
"No? Where are you now? In an asylum."
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!" I scream.
"Face it Raven you are like me."
He walks up to me and squats down to eye level. "I also know deep down inside you still love me." He places a kiss on my cheek and then disappears leaving me to cry knowing that I am just like him; a monster.
