"Oh my gosh, you're Melody Richards!! I LOVE YOU!!" screeched a girl before she was dragged away by my security guards.
"Remind me why you insisted on riding commercial when we could haven ridden a private jet?!" I screeched at my brother.
"I just thought it would be cheaper," he barely mumbled.
So I was on a plane flying to home sweet home and my ears were about to pop. There was the plane doing it to my ear at some point, but my sensitive ears hurt even more because of the 10 or more fans that thought screaming at their favorite celebrity while going to or from the empty first-class bathroom was logical.
I wanted to die on the spot.
I pulled my laptop and tried to write a song. Normally, I would have an ordinary melody popping out of my head in no time but high up in the air, my artistic brain was no longer functioning. My drawings sucked, and I couldn't even write a simple poem.
The high atmosphere sent my brain through a fuzzy haze.
So I decided that I would try sleeping.
A few minutes later, I decided that that wouldn't work either.
I couldn't do anything useful, so I just thought about my friends back home.
The truth was, after the prank incident two years ago, I hadn't talked much to either Jake or Sophie. I had told them about me leaving for L.A., but since then I hadn't made a big effort to keep in touch with them.
I turned on my laptop again and reactivated my old Facebook account. Apparently, so many people had sent me a friend request that Facebook was currently unable to check all of my friend requests.
'Time to post a status,' I thought to myself.
Before I posted my status, I thought about everyone who had bullied me at school. Making fun of me, insulting my friends and family, pulling pranks on me, and backstabbing.
I checked my email. There was one new one from Stars Collide.
Your new reality show is to be called America's Sweetheart, because you ARE America's Sweetheart. ;) Peter sends you his best regards. Filming starts on the first day of school at 7:00, so the makeup artists and the camera guys willl come around 6:45.
Good luck!
Roni Martinov
P.S. Try writing a character page for yourself. Just a helpful hint.
Bored, I decided to listen to Roni and so I opened a Word Document and thought for a minute.
I typed in, 'Melody Richards Character Page."
Since this was going to be on tv, i decided to think of it as acting. Might as well brush up my acting skills while I'm at it.
I thought of the characteristics of the perfect girl.
'Be this, and that... Yeah... about that...'
I quickly made up the perfect list for the perfect new girl.
Honestly, as suckishly cliche as this sounds, I wanted to get back at all those bullies.
I would be a better me, I decided. I quickly wrote this on my list also.
Last but not least... Not falling in love.. That was important. No stupid boy would make me fall in love with them and break my heart. I wouldn't let that happen.
Shortly after, the stewardess announced that we would be arriving at the airport in fifteen minutes. Everybody prepared and packed their stuff again, and put on the seatbelt at the appropriate time.
Going down I felt like I lost my stomach back in the air.
'We have to go get it back!' I crazily thought to myself for a while.
As I tried to move my Bro-Man must have understood me, because instantly he told me to stay in my seat and to not do anything stupid.
Soon after, we arrived at the airport and were hurried through customs. As we went out the door, fans were screaming like crazy at my surprise appearance. Paparazzi appeared out of nowhere and started zapping pictures of me.
By reflex, I got out my Ray Bans and kept walking.
But throughout all the screaming and shrieking, I heard a voice that I thought I would never hear again.
"Mel?" a voice whispered in shock.
I spun around.
There in the corner of the crowd, stood no other than my ex-bestie, Sophie.
"Soph?" I said in bewilderment.
At this the paparazzi started going crazy.
"Who is this girl?"
"How do you know her?"
My manager finally had the sense to call the security guards to block the reporters out of our way. Then he reached into the crowd and grabbed Sophie's hand. Then, he grabbed my hand.
He started sprinting like crazy and screaming, "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!"
And so we arrived in our black van in no time.
As the door close an awkward silence closed in.
"Um, I kinda lost my sister in there," mumbled Sophie.
Bro-Man groaned.
"Any pic of her?" he asked Sophie.
She quickly pulled out her iPhone and opened a pic. The picture showed a little brown haired girl eating ice cream.
Bro-Man quickly took the iPhone out of her clasp and ran outside like a hurricane.
"Didn't think I'd see you again," mumbled Sophie awkwardly.
I raised my head and looked at her in the eyes.
"Hi Soph. I'm back."

Is it just me or are cliffhangers just really interesting to write? DUNDUNDUN!!! Haha. You have been warned.
I think the next chapter (or maybe next two chapters) will be short.. Well i think so... I MIGHT update it tomorrow... or not... Updating twice in one day... Gosh that's like a record for me. Both chapters are very long, so enjoy!
Bro-Man is like a superhero right now. He's awesome. All managers are. (But the secret is, they get paid a LOT so they have to be!)
What do you guys think about Sophie? Tell me your thoughts!
AND DON'T FORGET TO VOMMENT AND SHARE!
Oh, and the thing that's "updated" will be the Melody Richards Character Page. I'm sure you guys were wondering... Gosh...
