I'm Back

 "Hi Soph, I'm back."

She held out a bitter laugh, and said, "So I see. The life of the rich and famous not working out for you?"

"No," I said and shook my head.

"What, missed us then?" she said in heavy sarcasm. But in the glimmer of her eye...

I let out a deep breath.

"I'm sorry Sophie. I just got so caught up in my life that I couldn't find the time to...." I stammered, looking for words to say.

"Time to..? I don't know, maybe call your friends and tell them you're okay? That you still exist? So that the next time your friends see you it's not on national tv?" Sophie retorted.

"Why did you come back, anyways?" she said softly.

I had planned to not tell anyone about the tv show. There was a list of excuses I had to discuss with my producers..

"I'm going to be shooting a reality show." I replied smoothly, but it was quickly followed by an awkward silence.

Sophie appeared to be in thought for a while. Suddenly, her facial expression lit up.

"I should text Stacey! She'll freak out!" she squealed as she looked around for her phone.

"No!!" I shouted as I grabbed both her hands. Ninja reflex, I know.

"But why? We'll be on tv? This is twitter worthy news!" she screeched.

I suddenly felt the prescence of two people staring at us. That plus the warm air grazing through my neck.

"That's because nobody knows yet, you dummy," said a strange voice.

We both turned around to see my Bro-Man with a tiny brown haired girl beside him.

My brother spoke to the girl, "Shhh!! We were supposed to see them catfight!"

 I mentally facepalmed myself. Brothers...

The little girl just climbed into the car like it was nobody's business and plopped herself down on one of the seats. My brother followed and handed Sophie back her phone.

My brother told Sophie, "You have an iPhone, which stinks. Even a Samsung Galaxy is better than this shizz."

Again with the rolling of the eyes with mental facepalm.

After he sat down, we were greeted by an awkward silence. I swear I could hear crickets chirping.

Again the brown haired girl broke the silence, "Where are we going?"

In an instant Sophie got up from her crouched position and looked out the window.

"Don't you still live at your old house?" I asked.

 Sophie nodded.

"Don't worry, we told the driver to head to your house. We're not going to kidnap you or anything.. Yet.." creepily spoke my brother.

I sometimes wonder if my Bro-Man is still a four year old in his mental age. Whenever "potty talk" is mentioned, he starts laughing hysterically. And he's good with kids.

"Hey kiddo, what's your name?" I asked the brown haired girl.

"Her name's Meggie," answered my dear brother. Looks like someone made friends.

Both Meggie and Sophie didn't talk, and so for the rest of the car ride there was a pregnant silence. Yes, a pregnant one.

Our van soon arrived at their house, and we said our goodbyes.

Talk about the most awkward comeback ever! I leaned further into my seat and started playing Candy Crush.

 "Brring!" alerted my phone.

There was a text saying, "I don't know how your number got into my phone, but anyways, this is my number. -Sophie."

I looked at my sleeping brother weirdly nodding his head and laughed.

I saved her number into my phone. Day One completed.

***

I know, I know, this chapter was horrible.

I have my bad days too, you know.

My mom woke me up at the crack of dawn, asking if I needed some papers from my bag. My morning half-asleep self said no, and turns out, my plot for ASH, poof!

Also, I have a cold which affects my brain, so pretty much I have writer's block along with it.

Oh, I have a new book! Yes, I think I'm going to give up on I Noah You indefinitely, because I haven't really made a full planned plot or anything.

It's called The Mr. Hotshot Plan, and I like it. Check it out if you have the chance!

 So this time, CoVoShaFoRe.

I shall dedicate a chapter to whoever figures what this word means. Adios!
