"Maya Penelope hart!"I took off my earbuds and looked around,I knew I heard my name,should I obey or not.I shoved back the earbuds in my ears and sighed.
"Maya Penelope hart!"there it is,I heard it again.Those stupid words that form my name,I growled as I though of of the name "Penelope".I shook my head,"mom,,I'm busy!"I yelled over.She screamed my name one more time until I got off my bed and started walking,I banged the door and walked down the steps of our small apartment.
"What do you want,mom!"I yelled and stopped mid-way through the kitchen,It's him.
I gasped."Shawn?"I asked and smiled,he turned his head to smile at me,his back still facing me,perfect."Shawn!"I screamed and jumped on his back."Shawny!"Not my best nickname,but it'll have to do.....For now.
"Woah,someone's excited to see me!"Shawn smiled and I hopped off his back,laughing.
"Well,duh!"I laughed,"why wouldn't I be,you're like my favorite person ever-after Riley-So,where we going this time?relaxing in the cinema while watching movies!Lying on the sand by the beach?buying ice cream by the-ugh-ice cream place,I prefer chocolate with extra-"
"Maya"Shawn interrupted me,My excitement stopped when I heard his sad tone.
"Yes?"I asked,"is everything okay?"I turned to look at my mom,"mom?"I asked her
My moms beautiful smiled turned into a frown in a second.I knew there was something wrong.I waited and tapped my feet impatiently until I received an explanation,"well?"I asked."guys,help me out here,I need to hear this,if this involves with something to do with my grades-"
"Maya,it's not your grades-"my mom sighed and trailed off,"well,everything is about your grades-but this isn't,sweetheart,it's more important"
"Mom,you always say my grades are more important then anything!"I said,"what could possibly be more important then-"
"Maya"Shawn interrupted me,yet again.I looked at him blankly."I'm won't be here for a few days-"he said,"Oh"I said,shrugging,"that's okay,that's not that bad,I mean,you'll be back,right,I can survive without you-"
"But that won't stop me"Shawn smiled,"from marrying your mother!"
My mother and him screamed in joy.I stood there and watched them.
"What?"I asked,pretend surprise and happiness filled my voice.
"Shawn proposed to me!"My mother said and squealed,I covered my ears.
"He-he did!"I asked,They nodded and laughed,"wow"I smiled,"just,Wow"
"Maya?"Shawn asked,"are you okay?"he must've heard the sadness in my voice
"Yeah,I'm okay"I smiled.Backing away."I'm always Okay"
