Chapter 4:Ask who out?

Lucas point of view

It's been only been a few days since I told billy I would set him up with Maya,but his growing impatient.It was now or never,and If I fail this,billy will come after me,or my friends.And I couldn't let that happen,I have to protect my friends,I just have to.

"Maya!"I said,closing my locker and watched as she walked down the halls with her art supplies.She looked at me weirdly but smiled.
"Excited to see me,huckleberry?"Maya asked and smiled brightly,I smiled back and nodded.
"Yes,actually"I said and walked closer to where she was,I stopped for a minute.This was harder then I thought it would be,I thought I was just gonna spit it all up and be done with it,but...Was I really gonna set up,Maya hart,one of my best friend,with billy Ross,the schools biggest jerk?I couldn't do that to a friend,and yet I couldn't let all my friends down.
What would billy do to them?will he humiliate them,will he hurt them?i don't wanna know,and I'm never gonna know because that's certainly not gonna happen,not on my watch.Not while I'm here,around to protect them,my best friends.

"Hello!"Maya snapped,"Bucky mcboing boing!"she called out and hit my forehead.
I snapped back to reality and smiled at her,she smiled back awkwardly,"what are you looking at?"she asked and I shrugged."you,I'm looking at you,my best friend"I smiled and shrugged."Maya,I was wondering if you wanted to go out on a date with-"
"What!"Maya snapped,"ew"she said,walking away,almost out of my sight before I caught her.I chuckled,"no,not with me,I was wondering if you wanted to go out with billy Ross?"
"Even worse!"Maya screeched and ran out of my sight.I sighed and looked down,I wasn't gonna go down this easily thought.

Riley's point of view

Maya and Lucas have been talking a lot more lately.They have been whispering to each other more then nessicary.They kept getting closer and I asked myself,what are they hiding?
What are they hiding that's so important for them not to tell me and farkle.Are they talking about me,about farkle,about both,did we do something wrong and if we did,what is it.I want to know so I can fix it,I need to know because I can't stand people talking about me behind my back.I looked at farkle who was working on our homework and back at Lucas and Maya who were,well,talking.

I sighed out of boredom.Since school ended,and we have a project,we all decided to come by my place to hang out and,well,try to do the project,right now farkle is the only one focused.I heard Maya snap a "no!"before she crawled out the window and was gone.
I stood up and looked at Lucas,"why is peaches gone?"I asked him,he shrugged.
"Listen,riles,it's getting late"he smiled,"I'll see you at school tomorrow,take care farkle"
Weird.Just plain weird and mysterious.I sighed and went back to work with farkle.

"What do you think they're hiding?"farkle asked without lifting his head up.
"You noticed?"I asked,surprised as I sat on my bed and farkle joined.
"Of course I did,Maya and Lucas are my friends too"farkle smiled,then his phone beeped
"Lucas is right-"farkle said and shrugged,"it is getting late,see you tomorrow riles"he said,grabbing his back pack and crawling out of the window like Maya and Lucas did.

Maya's point of view

"Get out-"I yelled,locking my bedroom door.I smiled and laid on my bed.No Lucas tonight.
My happiness ended soon.I jumped when I saw someone crawling through the window,"Maya"it talked.I threw pillows at it and yelled out,"die!,die!"I said and they chuckled."ahh,I'm so scared of your fluffy-pink nuclear Bombs"Lucas said and smiled at me.
"Why did you follow me home!"I asked,"you know that qualifies as being,hum,I don't know,a stalker!"
"I'm not a stalker,I'm just following you home"Lucas smirked and I rolled my eyes
"And the new definition for stalker is,Lucas friar,congrats,now get out!"I said and pushed him away,unfourantly he was too strong and wouldn't move.My small body against his was worthless,I gave up and sat back on my bed,bored,mad that I lost,"fine"I said,"fine,fine,what do you want,why are you here?"I asked,Althought it was very clear.

"I need you to go out with billy!"Lucas said,acting serious.I rolled my eyes and glared at him
"No!"I yelled,"for the millionth time,No!No!Never!"I said and jumped off my bed,tackling him to the ground."what makes you think I want to date a guy like billy Ross?"I asked,furious.Lucas chuckled,letting me pin his arms down on the floor,"come on,Blondie,Billy has many qualities that he'll offer you when you guys date-"
"I don't find,Being a total asshole,very attractive,Lucas!"I said And looked down at him,"why do you want us together anyway,you hate that guy because of zay and everything"

"Yeah,but he's dangerous Maya"Lucas looked at me worriedly,"he's not a good person,He's nobody you want to mess with,ever-"
"And yet,you want me to hook up with him-"I interrupted him.
"Because his threatening me!"huckleberry said,"well,not me,I could take him alone,but he's threatening my friends,Riley and farkle,he'll do mean things to them,embarrass them,bully them,you name it,he doesn't mess with you because he knows you don't give a shit,and he finds you hot because of that-"I could barf.

"Well,another person who loves me,after myself"I joked,but then got serious again,"Billy mess around with Riley and farkle,that can't be good,why can't you stop him,ranger Rick?"
"I can't because he wants you"Lucas looked up at me and smiled,
"Well I don't want him!"I snap,"I'm nobody's puppet to mess with,I'm a lone-wolf-"
"Maya,please,for farkle,for Riley"Lucas said and sat up,the force was so great I fell off him,I lied on the floor and thought for a moment.Me and Billy,ew,on a date,then Riley and farkle won't get picked on,if I do this,then they wouldn't have to deal with something I done.
No body was going to bully my best friends,especially not in the first few weeks of highschool.I finally nodded and excepted Lucas request,"fine,tell bobby that I'll go out with him"I said and crossed my arms while Lucas jumped with joy and smiled.

"It's billy,by the way"he said and smirked,"make an effort,hart"
"Whatever"I said then gasped when he embraced me into a hug.I started counting."you get thirty seconds,and then you let go if you don't want to die-"
"Shhh"Lucas said against my ear,"just enjoy this beautiful moment hart"I felt him smile.
I rolled my eyes and hugged him back.
