Now that I was alone with Declan and he would be staying over, the nerves picked up in my gut. He came and sat by me on the couch and we picked out a movie from one of the on demand channels.
We'd settled on some action movie with Liam Neeson, but I hadn't focused on the film. I just laid my head down in Declan's lap and tried my best to keep my eyes open. Whenever I closed them all I saw was that man staring at me.
I guess I did close them eventually, since I fell asleep.
I woke up to Declan kissing me above the ear and whispering to me. "Sienna, wake up beautiful."
I smiled and opened my eyes.
My stomach rumbled, reminding that I haven't eaten all day. I sat up and stretched my arms above my head. My body was really tense. I looked at the old clock on the wall.
8:15?!
"I cannot believe I slept that long! I'm sorry!" I apologized.
"No, no. You're fine. I'm happy that you were able to relax a while. I can't even imagine how difficult today must have been on you." He mused.
"Well at least let me make you something to eat. You must be hungry too. Do you like fish? I think there is some salmon in the fridge I could whip up for us." I suggested.
Declan leaned over and kissed me softly on the mouth. "You will be the first girl to have ever cooked for me."
"Oh, so no pressure." I teased.
I left him in the living room and got to work on the salmon. I mixed together a teriyaki marinade and smothered the fish with it. I put that into the oven to cook and then threw two sweet potatoes in the microwave. While those cooked I tossed a salad and set it and some dressing out on the dining table. Declan went ahead and started on his while I finished up the main dishes. When they were done I served up everything and brought Declan his plate and took a seat next to him. We ate in silence, the only sounds were some occasional appreciative grunts out of Declan, and our forks sliding against the plates.
"That was delicious babe, thank you." Declan had praised when we finished eating.
I reached for his plate but he moved it out of my reach.
I looked at him questioningly squinting my eyes.
"Oh no you don't." he said, his face twisted in mock shock. "I know the rules here missy. You cooked, so now I will clean up." He laughed.
I snickered and passed him my dishes. "You'll get no argument from me, I loathe washing dishes."
He gave me a quick kiss and then finished clearing off the table and headed into the kitchen. I listened to the sound of the sink running for a while and then decided to go get changed into something more comfortable.
I was still wearing the jeans and t-shirt I had put on this morning, despite having slept twice between then and now. I got undressed and put on the tank top I usually sleep in. It was black and said "Let It Be" across the chest, my favorite Beatle's song. I decided against putting on a bra. You couldn't see through my shirt and my chest was sore from sleeping in my expensive bra pretty much all day. I pulled my hair up into a messy bun and slipped into my pink silk night shorts. I left my room and headed back out to the kitchen.
Declan was finishing up so I stayed in the doorway and watched him. He was wearing a black tank top and board shorts again like when we first met. When I saw that he was cleaning the last spoon I walked up behind him and put my arms around his waist. I kissed his bare shoulder until he turned off the water and swiveled around to face me. I was still holding him so I dropped my hands just a little lower so that they were just barely above his butt. I looked up at him and winked as I lowered my hands a little more until they were resting on his super sexy backside.
