Bees swarm in my mind
And of ideas, no I'm not lacking
I'm just trying to find
An anchor
A ball of golden string I can unwind
Like Theseus
I create a trail
To find my way through a great maze
Blindfolded
In a tunnel
In the dark
Deep within my own heart
Not knowing which way to turn
Left or right
But I reach out to grab an idea
Blindly
And move towards the light
Heavy in my hands
I hold a tight grip
And with all that I am
I pray it doesn't slip
Like a claw machine
You never know what you'll seize
If it's a gift card or a stuffed bear
If it's good or if it's just there
And I sit and write in a trance
In a daze
And when I'm done I simply gaze
Upon what I've created

Poems
PoetryThis is a book of some poems I've written recently. Some are about me, some are about books, and some are about something else entirely. Either way, I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
