Run through the streets on a winters day
Grab a handful of snow
And run away
Behind a building, you hide
Get ready to aim
Then the snowball flies
Your best friend laughs
Then pegs you back
“You know, you’re gonna have to do a lot better than THAT”
Then once again
You run away
Grab a handful of snow
Even though
Your best friend’s behind you
Tailing your every move
But how can she stop you?
What can she do?You turn around
A grin on your face
“If you’re trying to stop me,
I GUESS IT’S TOO LATE!”
You get ready to fire
Your friend gets ready to duck
Laughing all the while
But just your luck
‘Cause in the snow
Is your brother’s toy shield
And even though
You have a “weapon” to wield
She has means
Of deflecting it off
But you throw it anyway
I mean,
Why not?
Just as expected
She blocks it
But then
An enormous snowball
Flies out of her hand
The snowball hits you
Smack in the face
You spit out the snow
Then back to the house
The two of you race
You pull off your snow clothes
And sip hot cocoa
As you sit by the fire
Telling tales of snowballs

Poems
PoetryThis is a book of some poems I've written recently. Some are about me, some are about books, and some are about something else entirely. Either way, I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
