AN: Sorry this is so late! Last week was just crazy, so I apologize. Enjoy!
APOV
"Ow," I muttered, trying to rub the kinks out of my neck. Why did I think it would be a smart idea to sleep on the couch? I sat up, stretching my arms high above my head, the smell of bacon filling my nose. Harry must be making breakfast, how nice of him.
I quietly crept to the bathroom to make myself presentable. I was not a pretty sight in the morning. Once I brushed my teeth and washed my face, I assessed the hay sack that was my hair. Deeming it an impossibility, I just threw it up into a messy bun.
When I got to the kitchen, Harry's back was to me. His hair was even more crazy then usual but he still looked like a Vogue model.
"Goodmorning," I said, alerting him of my presence.
"Hey," he said, shooting me a smile over his shoulder. He turned around and placed a plate piled high with food in front of me. "I think I went a little overboard with the food. Sorry."
"Trust me, I don't mind." I said, as Harry chuckled. I was practically salivating. Harry had made me eggs that looked like something straight out of a cookbook, bacon that was the perfect amount of crispy, just the way I liked them, and toast.
"How do you like your coffee?"
"With milk and lots and lots of sugar." I said, slathering an obscene amount of butter onto my toast.
"Sounds healthy."
I just rolled my eyes and continued eating. "This is really good." I said, taking a sip from my coffee. It didn't have enough sugar. "I didn't know you could cook,"
"There's a lot about me that you don't know, Alice." Harry answered.
I rolled my eyes at that, adding spoonfuls of sugar to my coffee. "Well, that's cliche."
"Doesn't mean it's not true," he replied cryptically, drinking from his coffee cup. I cleared my throat and continued eating.
"Aren't you gonna eat?" I said, noticing that he didn't even have a plate in front of him.
"No, I'm not hungry."
"How can you not be hungry? You didn't eat anything all day yesterday."
Harry shrugged, "I'm just not."
"You have to eat something. Here, at least have some fruit or something." I said, pushing the basket of fruit that was on the island towards him.
"I said I'm not fucking hungry!" he shouted, making me jump.
"I'm sorry," he whispered, grabbing my hand. "I didn't mean to yell at you. I'm just cranky in the morning."
I just nodded, poking at my food with my fork, my appetite gone.
Harry sighed and grabbed a banana from the basket, peeling it and taking a bite.
"Happy?," he asked, his mouth full, making me laugh. And just like that, the tension was gone.
"Your face looks a lot better." I said, putting the dirty dishes into the sink.
"Gee, thanks." Harry said, standing up to throw his banana peel away.
"Shut up," I said, shoving him playfully, "You know what I mean. Does it still hurt?" The bruise around his eye wasn't as purple and his lip didn't look so swollen.
"No, it's fine." he said, yawning and sitting down on a stool.
"You're still tired?" I asked incredulously.
"Just a little." My suspicions about him using cocaine returned. I didn't want to assume since I didn't know him enough to know if he's the type but I had to know if I was right.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Um, yeah, I guess." Harry answered, looking a little worried.
"What was with all the voice mails you left me?" I said, nervously biting the skin around my thumb.
"Oh, that. Yeah, sorry about that. I was just really drunk."
"Oh. It sounded like you were on something."
"I may have smoked a little weed but that's it." He said. Harry sounded sincere but I had my doubts. This behavior seemed all too familiar.
"Okay. I was just worried." I said, letting the subject drop. I don't know if I believed Harry but I really had no reason not to. He hasn't been dishonest with me so far.
"I should go." Harry said, looking at the clock hanging on the wall. It was nearly one.. We slept in pretty late. "Do you mind driving me to David's? I have to pick up my motorcycle."
"No, I don't mind. Let me just put some normal clothes on."
I went to my room and threw a hoodie over my t-shirt and put some jeans on. I grabbed some moccasins from my closet and slipped them on before grabbing my iPhone off my desk. I grabbed Harry's clothes that were folded on my nightstand, put them in an old Hollister bag that I found under my bed, and brought them to him downstairs.
"Here are your clothes." I said, handing him the bag. "Are you ready to go?"
Harry nodded and made his way out the door. I grabbed my keys and followed after him. We made some idle conversation during the drive, but it was mostly filled with comfortable silence.
"Thanks for letting me stay over last night. You didn't have to do that." Harry said, once we got to David's apartment.
"You're welcome. It's not a big deal." I answered, shrugging.
"Don't make any plans for tonight. I'm going to take you out on that date." he said, smirking at me. I just nodded, too excited to answer. Harry gave my cheek a kiss and got out of the car, waving at me as I drove away.
A/N: Once again, soooo sorry for updating this late! Please vote and comment!
