Tony

"Now aren't you glad you went to that party? You got the person that you for some reason hate so high, he disappeared in the middle of the party." Clint tells me while putting his tray on the round table in front of Bruce and I.

The lunchroom is buzzing as always, but most of the conversation is about the party that was held on Friday night. For the first time in what seems like forever, my two friends and I are also taking part in the party conversation.

"I'll admit, it wasn't as bad as I thought it wasn't going to be." I tell him while picking up my dull cheeseburger.

"Yeah, it makes you want to throw a party yourself." He tells me in a mischievous manner.

I roll my eyes. "I thought you'd drop this stuff if I agreed to go to the party with you." I tell him through a mouthful of food.

"I said the dating stuff, not the party stuff." He tells me, very matter-o-factly.

"What dragon do I have to slay to get through that barrier?" I ask.

Clint scoffs, "Hey, you are aloud to be single, but I still want to have fun."

"I've heard that's what girls just wanna do." Bruce says, coming into the conversation for the first time.

I snicker at his reference as I put down my burger and pick up my bottle of water.

"Oh, shut it Banner." Clint says, now sounding a bit ticked off.

"Clint, you are being what we in the science community like to call a little bitch." Bruce retorts.

I let out a huge laugh, almost spitting out my water. I swallow it and look to Bruce, "This is why we are friends."

He grins, looking very proud of himself. All while Clint is still looking very ticked off.

"Aw, c'mon. We're sorry. Hey! Why don't you tell us about your date?" I ask, letting out the last word in a fake seductive manner.

Clint gets a little smirk on his face accompanied by a pink tint on his cheeks.

"It was definitely something." He tells us while tilting his head down so we don't see the shade of embarrassment on his face.

"Something as in romantically something, or something as in fourth base something?" Bruce asks.

"Bruce, I am not a hoe. We only made it to first base, but man. When he kissed me... I actually felt sparks fly." He tells us with a far away dreamy look on his face.

"Way to make it sound like a romantic comedy, Barton." I tell him.

He rolls his eyes and scoffs, "That's how I know Pepper wasn't the one for you. You never felt those sparks when you kissed her."

"Oh, so only one date and he's the one?" I ask while eating my burger.

"Hey man, I'm just trying to say that you have to feel something when you kiss someone." He tells me.

"Are you sure you felt sparks, or was it just a boner?" I snap back.

I see him about to say something, but before he can, a large figure comes sauntering up from behind him.

"Hey, Tony!" Steve calls to me. I feel a slight look of disgust cross my face at his presence.

"What is it, Rogers?" I ask while he stands beside of our table, looking proud in his letterman jacket.

"We're still on a last name basis? I thought after you drugged me you'd have the guts to call me Steve." He tells me with a sly half smile on his face.

"I didn't drug you, Steve. You chose to smoke weed. What happened to you anyways? You disappeared like right after we gave it to you." I ask, not making much eye contact with him.

"Uh, not entirely sure. I woke up with Dorito crumbs all over me on the kitchen floor." He tells me while putting his hands in his jacket.

I let out a laugh, "It happens to the best of us. The first time I did it, I was covered in Cheetos."

He smirks, "Yeah, that's what I actually wanted to ask. What happened after I passed out?"

"Oh, typical party stuff. Some kid tried jumping into the pool from the roof, I'm pretty sure there was a three way in Sam's bedroom." I tell him.

He laughs, "Thanks, I'll see you... Later." The blond boy tells me before trotting off to his own table.

"Well that was weird." I say while going back to my food.

"No... No it wasn't!" Clint exclaims.

I raise my eyebrows in confusion, "Huh?"

"He likes you Tony! Why else would he come carry out a pointless conversation?!" He tells me, as if he had just made an amazing new discovery.

"Clint, aren't you supposed to be dropping this crap?" I say, feeling a bit of a cross between anxiety and anger rise within me.

"I'm not going to drop the obvious, Tony! He's been so nice to you, when you've just been a dick. He likes you Tony!" He tells me, his voice still slightly raised.

"Whatever, it's not like I'm going to act on it." I tell him.

"Oh yes you are. You have biology in the morning, right? I know that the teacher is going to put you guys in pairs in order by name. And you know who comes right before you..." He tells me with an accomplished look on his face.

I pinch the bridge of my nose, "Shit, you're right."

"Ooohhh, Tony's gonna get a boyfriend!" Clint taunts.

I roll my eyes, "Shut it. I'm just going to do the paper for the both of us, like I always do with all group projects. I don't want to take part with any part of Steve Rogers."

"You won't be saying that for much longer, trust me. I can see that Playboy coming back into your eyes."

I roll my eyes at his banter. Should've known he wasn't going to drop the whole dating thing. The bell rings and I take it as an opportunity to escape the conversation. I stand up and dart off before my two friends even get the chance to pick up their trays.

There is no way in hell I could ever end up with Steve Rogers, right?
