So I just got back from the doctors. Turns out...I'm not pregnant. Yet. But, I assume at some point in the future Austin will want another child...since well, he was stoked to find out that I might be pregnant again...After I got out of the doctors office I decided to run a couple errands. Go grocery shopping, and what-not. But the whole time I was being bombarded with questions by paparazzi.
"Where is Austin?"
"Why are you alone?"
"Where are your children?"
"Are you having another baby?"
"How's your relationship with Austin?"
Those stupid questions were swirling around in my head. I nearly went insane. I just got back to the house. I started to put the bags on the kitchen counter. When I went over by the sink I looked out into the backyard. There Austin was. With Carter. Playing basketball with the basketball hoop we had bought a while back. Mel was outside too. I could see her playing on the swings. I smiled to myself. I hurried to get the rest of the groceries then I locked the car and shut the front door. I began to put all the food and such away. I heard the back door open and the sound of giggles and laughs.
"Hey babe!" Austin said enthusiastically.
"Hey." I replied still attempting to put things where they needed to be.
"How did the doctor's go?" He asked.
"I'm not pregnant. Turns out I just have a bit of a virus." I said.
"That doesn't explain the headaches." Austin said.
"Yeah, well...when you have to take care of two children under the age of eight, and a superstar husband... headaches are normal." I explained.
"Superstar, huh?" He smirked.
"Yep. I could not go anywhere today without the paparazzi following me." I sighed.
"Did they say anything to you?" He asked.
"They're paparazzi, of course they said things to me..." I rolled my eyes.
"No I mean...like...ya'know." He said referring to my issues that I'm currently going through.
"No...no. Surprisingly. They had only asked me questions about you and the kids and the relationship and stuff. I didn't answer anything obviously. I was busy trying to buy food." I explained.
"Good. I'm glad they only asked you normal stuff. I guess..." He looked into my eyes.
"What?" I asked.
"You're just so beautiful." He smiled.
I blushed.
"Thanks." I mumbled.
I haven't blushed in forever...
"We've been together for what seems like forever, and I still manage to make you blush." He chuckled.
"Yeah..." I trailed off.
"Need any help?" He asked.
"Nope, I just put the last of it all away." I said.
I scrunched up the plastic bags and put them into a plastic bag holder that we have in the kitchen.
"How was basketball with Daddy?" I asked Carter.
"It was fun!" His face lit up.
"Yeah, he almost beat me." Austin said.
"Oh really?" I asked.
"Mhm, but we did have an interesting conversation didn't we, Car?" Austin looked at him with amused eyes.
"Sush!" Carter squealed.
"Oh? What about?" I asked.
"I can't tell." Austin smirked.
"I can! Carter has a girlfriend." Mel giggled.
Carter glared at her.
I....What? My six year old son has a girlfriend? Oh god...he's like his father. Well, this is terrible.
"Is that so?" I asked.
"Yeah..." Carter looked at the ground.
"Who might that be?" I asked.
"Uh...Casey." He mumbled.
"Wait...Casey? As in...Casey White?" I asked.
"Yeah." Carter said.
Casey White is Kalin's daughter. Remember...Kalin and Myles...yeah. Kalin and one of my old friends Deirdra got together. They had Casey right after I had Carter...Well, a year after. Wait, so my son is dating a younger girl? Oh my god. He's starting way too early.
"Mhm..." I trailed off.
"Uh-oh. That was a 'I'm thinking about this' mhm." Austin said.
"Well, I know for sure it's your son." I said.
"What? What's that supposed to mean?" Austin asked, almost as if he was offended.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because he's already good with the ladies." I said.
"He's a little stud. What do you want from me?" Austin chuckled.
"Yeah, he has your looks. Let's hope he doesn't turn out to be a player." I gave Austin a look.
"He better not. It's not nice to mess with girls hearts. Especially ones that you love." Austin kissed my cheek.
"Mommy, can I have lunch now?" Carter asked.
I looked at the clock. It was just about time for lunch anyways.
"What do you guys want?" I asked Carter and Mel.
"How about we all go to McDonald's?" Austin cut in before Carter and Mel could reply to me.
I glared at him. I hate going anywhere with all of us, I know it sounds terrible...but, paparazzi is everywhere.
"Yeah!" Carter and Mel shouted.
Damn it!
"Through the drive-thru." Austin said.
I sighed in relief. We would never get a break if he decided to go inside.
----
We got back home with their McNugget Happy Meals, and Austin and I decided to share a 20 piece McNugget. I smiled at the thought. We haven't done this in a while. All sat together as a family. Even if it is eating fast food.
"I'll be right back. I have to use the bathroom." I excused myself.
"Don't be long." Austin said.
"I won't." I smiled.
Just after I finished "doing my business." I got a notification. Then a lot more. My phone started to ding like crazy. I washed and dried my hand. I pulled my phone out of my pocket to see what all the fuss was about. I kept having people send me DMs with a link to an article on Twitter. I rolled my eyes and clicked on the link. My eyes widened in shock. My heart shattered to a million pieces.
Something I never in a million years I thought I'd see...again.
