Chapter Nine- Maid of Honor

Aphmau's POV
It's been about a week and a half since I came back from Meteli. Garroth got his helmet back but still never takes it off. I still really think that he should, but I won't force him. Laurance and Cadenza are doing fine. Laurance renounced his position as Head Guard of Meteli and I think they are both living here now. Laurance lives in the guard station like Garroth does and Cadenza has her own house. Everything has been pretty normal. We've also been trying to rebuild the village after Zenix's attack. Levin has also been growing up fast. I can't wait until he can walk!!!
I walked out of my house and down to the village. I greeted everyone that I saw and made my way through the village. I saw Garroth and walked over to him.
"Hey Garroth." I said, cheerfully. He turned to me.
"Ah, Lady Aphmau. Good morning. Um, Donna was looking for you. I would suggest you go talk to her." He said.
"Ok, do you know where she is?" I asked.
"She's down at the plaza." He replied.
"Ok, thanks Garroth." I went down to the plaza.
I saw Donna there with Logan and Kiki, Molly, and Emma were crowding them. I went over.
"Donna. Garroth said you wanted to talk to me?" I asked. She looked at me, smiling.
"Yeah, hey Lady Aphmau. I have something important that I need to talk to you about." She said, walking over to me.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Well, Logan and I are.....engaged and I would love it if you were my maid of honor. What do you say?" I was shocked. Engaged!? I mean, I knew they were dating but engaged!? That fast!?
"Donna! That's amazing! Yes, I would be honored to be your maid of honor!" I hugged her and we walked back to the group. Donna told me of all her ideas for the wedding and I promised that I would help set it up. She said that she already found a priest. I left a few minutes after to check up on the rest of the village. I saw Cadenza ahead of me and an idea formed in my head.
"Hey, Cadenza." I walked over to her and she turned around.
"Oh, hello Lady Aphmau. Is there something I can help you with?" She asked.
"Yeah, I have a favor to ask you. Um, can you make wedding dresses? Donna and Logan are engaged and I need to find someone who can sew. Will you help?" She squealed.
"OH MY IRENE, YES!!!! I've always wanted to create dresses for a wedding! Thank you so much, Aphmau. I won't let you down. OH! I'll also create suits for the guys and outfits for the babies. I need to get to work. See ya later, Lady Aphmau!" She ran off to her house.
"Wow, Ok. I guess that's taken care of. Now to find someone to make a wedding cake. OH! That's right! Kawaii~Chan!!!"
I went over to Kawaii~Chan's house and knocked on the door. She answered.
"Oh, Aphmau~Senpai. Hello. What can Kawaii~Chan do for you?" She asked.
"Hi, Kawaii~Chan. I have a favor to ask you. Can you make a wedding cake for Donna and Logan's wedding? It would really be appreciated." I asked.
"Kawaii~Chan would love to bake Donna and Logan~Kun's cake. Leave it to Kawaii~Chan."
"Thanks Kawaii~Chan. I'll see you later." I waved goodbye and headed home. I wanted to play with Levin.

Garroth's POV
It's been about a week since the fight with Zenix and I still couldn't help but feel useless. I'm sworn to protect this village at all costs, no matter what.
"Ugggg, what kind of guard am I? Can't even protect his village."
I was still thinking about Aphmau, too. I probably looked stupid when she kissed me. "But why did she do it? Maybe she- ugg. Don't get your hopes up, Garroth. That probably just meant nothing."
Hearing about Donna and Logan's upcoming wedding certainly brought me in a better mood. At least something good happened today.
I was patrolling around the village, when I saw Donna talking to two people. Well, there were four people there but, two of them were bodyguards I guess? I decided to go over to see what was happening because I didn't recognize these people. I went over and froze in place.
"No, it can't be. Why is HE here?"
