As I told you earlier, this chapter would be quite short.

This chapter is quite boring too. Nothing really special happened. So please bare with me :))

Love lots, :)

“Tiffany Connery! We’ll be late for school!” That was Dennis He’s been waiting for about half an hour now.

I didn’t really get enough sleep from last night. That’s the reason why I move sluggishly this morning.

Last night, I told Yaya Elma everything. From Ethan to Hayley and from Hayley to Matthew and as expected she was as shocked as I was. She couldn’t believe it at first. Who would believe it anyway? I thought that kind of situation only happens in movies.

I told her to keep it as a secret. I don’t want my parents and Dennis to find out. Especially Dennis, I’m pretty sure he would be frustrated.

“Give me a few minutes!” I shouted from my room.

I combed my hair right away. I don’t have enough time to put on some powder and gloss. So I went down with a bare face. Anyway, I can apply some powder and gloss later on at Dennis’ car.

I went downstairs right away and saw Dennis waiting by the living room.

“I’m sorry, Dennis” I apologized and he replied with a smile. A really sweet smile.

I hurriedly grabbed a piece of bread on the table and dunk it on my mouth.

“Hey, you don’t have to eat that fast. You might choke yourself up” Dennis told me.

I showed him a thumbs-up to tell him that it’s okay. I swallowed it fast and drank a glass of juice.

“Let’s go” I told Dennis. “Yaya Elma, I’m leaving!” I said hurriedly and dragged Dennis outside.

“Take care, Tiffany” Yaya Elma replied. I barely heard what she said because I was really in a hurry.

Dennis wasn't able to open the door for me because I was moving too fast that I opened it myself. Dennis hurriedly hopped inside his car and drove as fast as he can. I know he exceeded the speed limit because we arrived on time. Good thing there were no patrol cars around that time.

At school…

“Tiffany, is there anything wrong?” Dennis asked me.

I was quiet the whole time. He probably noticed that something is bothering me.

“Nothing, I’m fine” I told him convincingly.

“Okay, if you say so.” He replied. I guess he didn't want to quiz me any longer.

“By the way, James invited us to visit his place tonight. I told him that we’re coming. Is that alright?” He informed me.

I don’t really feel like going out today but there’s nothing I can do. He already told James that we’re coming. So that leaves me with no other options.

“Sure” I told him.

As we passed by the hallway we saw Jessica. Curly blonde hair, huge reading glass, retainers, knee length socks and skirt. No doubt. She's Jessica. The Editor-in-chief of our school paper.

“There he is!” She was pointing at our direction.

She briskly walked towards us. She’s kind of clumsy; she tripped on her way to us but recovered right away.

"Hey are you okay?" Dennis asked.

"I'm okay" She said. She walked towards Dennis neglecting my presence. She stood between me and Dennis. Not bothering to apologize to me after she bumped me. Can you imagine that?

“Mr. Jackson, Hi. I am Jessica Sullivan. Editor-in-Chief. My sports writer is sick right now so I'm going to take his job to interview you. Do you mind? This will only take a few minutes.” Jessica formally asked while dusting of her knees.

“No problem, Ms. Sullivan” Dennis said.

Jessica grabbed her recorder inside her bag and turned it on. She placed it few inches away from Dennis’ mouth.

“By now, you probably know already that you we’re chosen to represent our school in the upcoming regional swimming tournament. How do you feel about that?” She started asking.

I was listening to them intently.

“Well, this is not the first time that I was chosen to represent our school but nevertheless I feel grateful for being chosen again.” Dennis replied.

I didn’t know that it was Dennis again who’s going to represent our school in the upcoming swimming tournament, although I was kind of expecting that too. For me he is the best athele in the campus. He plays basketball and tennis pretty well too.

Jessica continued on her interview with Dennis. I was just watching them the whole time. She kept on asking about Dennis’ sports and academic life.

"Thank you Mr. Jackson. I'm going to write a great article about you. Sorry if I bothered you" She said and turned around

"Ohh. Hi Ms. Connery, I didn't notice you. We're you listening to us the whole time?" She told me.

Wow. How can she not notice me? I arrived together with Dennis and she even bumped on me.

"Yeah" I told her.

Dennis smiled at me. Looks like he was able to read my mind. After that Dennis offered to walk me to my classroom.

“Tiffany, my tournament will be two weeks from now.” Dennis informed me. “You’re going to watch me, right?”

“Of course, I have to be there to watch you beat those other swimmers” I told him trying to encourage him. I have faith in him. I know he can beat those swimmers.

“Say, Tiffany. If I win, will you be my girlfriend then?”

“What?” I was surprised.

“No pressure, Tiff. You don’t have to answer now” He told me as we reached my classroom.

“I’m leaving. See you later Tiff!” He hurriedly left.

I wasn’t able to answer. I was speechless. All I was able to do was watch him walk away.
