Today is the first day of school, I already ate my breakfast and I am just waiting for Dennis. He told me that he’s going to pick me up so we can go together. It’s only 7 in the morning and our class is at half past 8. I’m not in a hurry since our school is just about 15 to 20-minute drive away from our house without heavy traffic.

I walked towards the garden where Yaya Elma is watering the plants. I decided to have a little chat with her while waiting for Dennis.

“Yaya Elma, how did Rockstar’s check up went last week?” I asked her.

“Oh Tiffany, it went well. Ethan said Rockstar is pretty healthy.” She told me still watering the plants.

“I see”

I was about to return inside the house when Yaya Elma stopped me.

“Tiffany, do you know that Ethan already got a new girlfriend?”

I was surprised with what Yaya Elma told me. It’s been almost 2 years since Ethan last had a girlfriend. How come he didn’t mention something like that to me?

“Seriously?” I asked Yaya Elma.

She nodded in response. “When I brought Rockstar at his clinic last week, His girlfriend was there. Ethan told me that his girlfriend works as an aerobics instructor in a nearby fitness gym.”

“Aerobics instructor?”

“Yes, she's kinda pretty too.” Yaya Elma said.

“I guess I have to catch up with Ethan soon” I told her and giggled.

She laughed back “Well, your cousin is pretty serious with that girl. You better catch up with him before he decides to marry her”

I chuckled with what she said. It’s true; Ethan always comes up with unusual and sudden decisions. I remember several years ago, he always liked the idea of being a pilot but then when Scar died, Ethan’s poodle. He suddenly decided to become a veterinarian.

“I guess, I’ll pay him a visit later after school” I said.

After a few minutes of chatting with Yaya Elma, the doorbell rang.

“That must be Dennis” I said and went to check it out.

When I opened the door, I saw Dennis standing outside.

“Ready for school?” He asked with a smile.

“Yup, I’ll just get my things. Wait for me” I said and hurriedly ran inside the house to grab my things.

After I grabbed my things, I hurriedly went out. Dennis opened the car door for me and as I hopped inside. I immediately fastened my seatbelt.

“Do you want the roof on or off?” He asked me.

He’s driving a black Jaguar XK8. This is not his car but his dad’s car. He always borrows it once in a while. He really like its sleek and elegant design.

“Either” I told him.

“Well, let’s just keep the roof on. I don’t want anybody looking at you” He said and giggled.

“Whatever Dennis!” I said and stuck my tongue out like a kid followed by a giggle. But I must admit I kinda blushed with what he said.

He played with my hair and quickly turned the stereo on.

I wanna make you smile whenever you’re sad. Carry you around when your arthritis is bad. Oh all I wanna do is grow old with you…
