How I Fell In love With Mr Wrong

Chapter 7

~Kevin's POV~

-Hello? I froze. What do I say to her?

"Uhm, hi,Zendaya its-" I was cut of when I heard her speak.

-Haha, got ya! Leave a message and I'll get back to you -blip.

Voicemail. I couldn't help but laugh to myself. She's one crazy girl but that's what I admire about her. She's totally down to earth and care free, it's hard to find girls like that nowadays. I put my phone next to my night stand, took off my clothes till I was left with only boxers on then went to sleep. Tomorrow was a school day and you know what that means.

~Zendaya's POV~

I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing loudly. I turned it off then sluggishly got out of bed. Monday. I sighed then made my way towards my bathroom to take care of my personal hygiene. After 30 minutes, I went back to my room to get dressed. Clementine had iron the outfit I was going to wear the night before. I went downstairs after getting dressed.

"Good morning, sleepy head." Dad greeted. I weakly smiled back.

"What's wrong?" Mom asked, she looked concerned. I walked up to her.

"Mom, may I stay at home today? I'm not feeling well." I said. It was true. I felt kind of dizzy and sick. She felt my forehead.

"Oh dear, I think you have a fever." She said.

"So can I?" I whined. She nodded.

"Go back to bed, I'll bring you your breakfast in a sec." She said.

"I'm not hungry." I said. I felt like throwing up at the thought of food.

"Well you don't have a choice. You can't take any medicine on an empty stomach, Zendaya." She pushed me towards the stairs.

"Go change, I'll be there soon." She was now going through the medicine cabinet and taking her stethoscope. I love it when she changes from being mom to Doctor Mom. The benefit of having parents who are doctors.

I went upstairs to my room and changed back into my pyjamas. I took my phone to text Calvino and tell her I wasn't going to school. I then climbed back to bed with my phone. One new missed call, I was about to check who it was from when my phone got snatched away from me.

"No texting today, young lady. You're sick and you need your rest." Mom said. She gave me a bowl of cereal and it took me a couple of minutes to get it all down. She then made me drink some purple medicine which tasted like grapes then the brown one which tasted horrible. I pulled a face as the thick mixture made its way down my throat.

"Why didn't you make me drink the ugly one first then the nice one?" I whined. She smiled.

"Because I'm the doctor here." She said. I rolled my eyes and snuggled with my teddy bear and dozed off.

I woke up when I heard stifled voices in my bedroom. I blinked a couple of times to get a clear vision.

"Mom? Is that you?" I still couldn't see who the two figures standing before me were.

"She's awake." One voice said.

"Okay. I'll leave you two alone." And then the door closes.

I stop rubbing my eyes and look up. Kevin. Kevin is my bedroom. Why did my mom let him in! For a second we just stare at each other.

"Hi." I start.

"Hey." He replies. He clears his throat.

"Uhm, I bought you your homework. Well actually Calvino did but I asked her to give it to you. How are you feeling?" He came and sat next to me.

I smiled at him.

"Thanks and I'm feeling oka-" I paused in shock when I saw my reflection on my dressing table mirror. In a flash I got out of bed and ran to my bathroom and closed the door.

My hair was a bushy mess and I had a red nose. To top things up, my breath had lost its minty freshness while I was asleep. Then a sudden terror dawned on me. I spoke to Kevin with bad breath. I walked over to the sink and started to brush my teeth furiously.

"You spoke thu him with shmelly breath. Stupid, stupid, Zendaya." I continued to brush my teeth when there was a knock on the door.

"Are you okay in there, Zee?" It was Kevin. I spat out some water before replying.

"Yeah! I'll be out in a sec." I replied.

Once I had combed my hair back I went out of the bathroom.

He was on his phone but looked up immediately when I walked in. I sat next to him.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked. He put his phone in his pocket before replying.

"No, it's just Calvin." We stared at each other before he started laughing.

"What?!" I asked while giggling. He just smirked.

"No, nothing." He laughed lightly again.

"What?! Is there something on my face?" I started rubbing my face when he gently pulled my hands away from my face and rubbed my lower lip gently. My heart was racing and his face was only a few inches away from mine. This distance, his thumb rubbing my lower lip gently, our body language broke all friend zone boundaries.

"Toothpaste." He whispered in that deep voice I like. I laughed lightly and felt my cheeks flush red.

"Haha, thanks." I pulled away then tucked my hair behind my ears.

"No problem, sunshine. Unfortunately, I have to head home now. That text I received was Calvin telling me that the guys have arrived. We're studying for the Biology quiz we're writing tomorrow." He got up and smiled.

"Will you be at school tomorrow?" He seemed a bit shy to ask this question.

"Yeah, I have to. I'm feeling better now." I replied.

"Cool, I'll call you? In two hours." He said. I nodded.

He let himself out of my room while I huffed on my bed. I had changed into my sweat pants and a gersey. I took my phone out of the charger to text Calvino. It was already 5pm. Which meant I had slept the entire day.

Me: Hey girl. Guess who was here a few minutes ago?

Cal: Kevyy! Lol he is totally crushing, got lots to tell ya about school. Imma call you in a sec.

Hope you guys enjoyed chapter 7. I apologize for not updating every week as I promised. Thing is, I'm just 16 years old so books first.
